Paul, whats the difference between Donavan version and the Lavern red?
@RAREDRAGONFRUIT
@RAREDRAGONFRUIT 21 час назад
La Verne Nursery grew many plants from seed for 5 years or so. Their dragon fruit plants had cross pollinated (probably a white undatus with a Guatemalan) So it resulted in different versions of La Verne Red and Pink varieties

@RAREDRAGONFRUIT I purchased some from Alik Shulman. I'm not sure what version he grows but the cuttings are twisty which caught my attention when you mentioned that characteristic. I don't have fruit yet though.

Hi! He bought the fruit from the local store to compare it the fruit I sent him. Most of those reds are either from Nicaragua, Vietnam, and Ecuador

Just wondering what do you think the max amount of direct sunlight a plant should receive each day? I’m growing in Texas and the area I was going to move the plants to is in direct sunlight most of the day and it will be over 100 degrees this summer. I was wondering if I should put them in an area that has some shade for a few hours a day or will they be fine in the sun?

Is it normal to be soil moist during rainy season? I used 50% potting mix and 35% coarse sand, 15% perlite. My potting mix consists of 20% Red Soil, 20% Coco peat, 30% Manure, and 30% Vermicompost. It's well draining but found moist.

How often to water dragon fruit plant? Some people say once a month or 2 weeks? If you're in Arizona State?
@RAREDRAGONFRUIT
@RAREDRAGONFRUIT 14 дней назад
I’m in San Diego. During the growing season, I water them 3 times a week. The like a lot of water but don’t like compost in the soil.
