I like how the media ignored the fact that his supporters weren't trying to "stop the vote count". They were trying to stop the counting after the Democrats ejected virtually every Republican poll watcher and refused to let the Republican election monitors verify ballots.
What I can't understand is why Republicans have not dumpted Trump- they will never win an election with him- Independents won't vote for him. And that is not even looking at the 91 charges against him and the ton of individuals taking personal law suits against him. I don't trust Oakland University who are very political. The image in my mind of the President of OU, Dr. Ora Hirsch Pescovitz, heckling Lech Wałęsa, the former President of Poland, about Trump Tweets when he visited in 2019 to perform a guest lecture still angers me to this day. Absolute unprofessionalism and disrespect to a former foreign head of state and of an American ally. Lech Wałęsa was trying to tell Americans that he hoped for the return of American leadership like during the Cold War and I think he was making a warning of the rise of socialism, which revealed itself a few months later in 2020.
No... There is no 'balancing act'. This is a matter of basic rules of the game. "Thou shalt not infringe..." Tyranny first disarms you, then safe from retaliation, crushes you. Also, ultimately, you are responsible for the safety of your self, family and property (self defense) not the police. You should be at least as well armed as potential criminals.

The SCOTUS has ruled more than once that the founding fathers already did the balancing of interests for the 2nd Amendment, which is why they included "shall not be infringed"

Interesting moment at 1:19:10. At first I thought it was a slam dunk for Filipovic, but now think DeSanctis makes the more insightful point. DeSanctis says that a procedure requiring the intentional killing of an unborn child is never medically necessary, and that any procedure to save the life of a pregnant woman that could (even almost certainly) kill an unborn child does so as a side-effect--that is, such procedure is not an intentional/elective abortion (doesn't have the same goal), and shouldn't be grouped as an abortion when deliberating over the laws or morality regarding such procedures. Filipovic responds that this is a distinction without a difference--that clearly these procedures that require killing a fetus to save the life of the mother should be understood as abortions, and that we should protect a doctor's ability to perform such procedures in the same way we would protect their ability to perform abortions. And, she adds, even if such procedures aren't required to save the life of the mother, but serve her health in other ways, that clearly such medical procedures do exist. My thought is: yes, obviously such procedures exist. What to call them though? A lot of the disagreement over abortion comes down to what reasons are permissible for killing an unborn human. To save the life of the mother? Most people would say yes. For other reasons given by the mother? Closer to fifty-fifty. So, to inject into common parlance that such "life-saving procedures" are truly something other than "abortion" would be a huge win for the pro-life side. Whereas pro-choicers **need** these to be thought of as all in the same bucket.
The irony is that before 9/11 Arab/Muslim Americans were Republicans for same reasons as the conservative Christians are. But since 9/11 because of many Americans anger against the culture that created that terrorism they unfortunately took it out on innocent Muslims and Arabs in general and in turn pushed them into the Democrat camp who happily exploited their grievances for political reasons. But like they did with all other minorities the party took the Muslim/Arab voters for granted and totally misread their support for the party as the party is now imposing their other minority on them though their opposition to the other minority is very well known. Just look how many those people’s countries treat the “lgbt” there. So now the Muslim/Arabs are finally realizing how crazy the Dems are and may come back to the socially conservative GOP again especially with 9/11 and the subsequent war on terrorism fading into memory for most Americans. Another minority that Dems had high hopes to have monolithically on their side for generations are now beginning to cut ties with Dems for their authoritarian impulses to impose their nonsense on them.
