I’m sorry for the late reply. I was logged out my channel, I just got back in it. My experience was decent, I had fun overall, I made friends that I’m still cool with to this day, & job corps definitely helped me jump start my life. It will be things that make you not wanna be there but thug it out, it’ll be worth it at the end.
I’m going to the one in Jacksonville soon all I’m really waiting for is the background check I’m hoping it takes pretty quick to get me in there cause I’m already getting impatient, but I’m really really excited. I feel like it’ll be a really good experience for me. also wanted to say your stunning

@@CecesLifePurr I got my ged, it’s faster & I had advanced classes in school so Ik everything already. I started testing when I got my id n it took 2weeks. But it took 3 months to get my id
Honestly idk, it really depends on if you have your high school diploma or not. Because they make you wait to finish your trade if you don’t have your diploma. Personally I think carpentry is the fastest
Idk I’m not in cna, but it depends on how long it takes to get your diploma. You can’t take exams without your diploma. N my honest opinion about you coming at 16, don’t do it unless you have too. It’s harder for minors & the min you step on campus prepare to stuck on here. & you won’t be able to do work base as a minor. Thats essentially because the careers they offer, you’d need experience for them & you won’t be able to get tht as a minor. You just gon be wasting your time unless you just want a high school diploma n license.

Sorry I didn’t see this! They do, everytime you leave the campus & come back. And the campus rules are the same for everyone except 18 & over you get to go off campus & 21+ you get to get drunk off campus.

U post a lot of hygiene ish attach it to being in jc, u can post daily vlogs shorts of the food u eat morning noon and night . Lol aww thanks 💕, & they have different days where they take new students to do the water safety. You’d be scheduled for a certain day but if you tell them your situation, they’d make a way for you. But if you do wait you won’t be able to go on any trips they have involving water because you didn’t take the test.
I could be moving onto campus in a few weeks. i’ve been getting nauseous about it every new day i’m so scared. PLEASE tell me if you’re enjoying it so far and how long it took you to adjust, not missing home anymore. overall just being comfortable there?
Honestly I really haven’t adjusted to not being home anymore like everyday I wanna leave n not be here nomo but I have look at the bigger picture of why I’m here. I feel like it’s like being in jail if you’re a minor. The only thing keeping me going is that I’ve already put so much work into it n I would’ve wasted my time if I leave.

I am learning more about Jobcorps since I am 19 years old and don't have a job or a high school diploma. I am in Tampa but when I searched which Job Corps was the closest to me, google site said it was St. Pete. My only question for the first time for job crops will be medication, transportation, and my appointment with a therapist and psychiatrist via Zoom meeting, so I have medication to take care of from Morning, Afternoon, and Night, my medication is from the pharmacy in Genoa and they deliver from my house but I am concerning about medication and how do they work in Job corps. Also, my Zoom meeting appointment is from Zoom for the therapist and psychiatrist, I meet on certain days for the therapist and certain months for the psychiatrist so sometimes school times or work times can be disrupted when it comes to my Zoom appointment. Do they offer transportation to the center I live in Tampa and St.Pete is far away from where I live, I don't have a car and don't have much money to travel.
Ohk so you have an option to stay on campus or stay home n attend job corps. If you stay home they do offer free transportation to pick you up n drop you off in Tampa. If you stay on campus they have a place where they store your medication in the dorms & there’s also a on campus clinic to have your medication ordered and delivered here. For your therapy they’d allow you to take those calls in a private room. You just have to tell them you have a therapist when you get to the center.

did you move with your same roommates all 4 times? or was it different people? and on weekends can you sleep in all day, leave and come back the same day too on weekends? do they allow lashes and painted nails or acrylics? i remember commenting awhile back and you helped me out so much❤ also i was wondering do some of the healthcare trades share a classroom to learn in?
When I moved rooms I had got different roommates. & leaving days depends on your phase card color but I’m pretty sure on weekend you can leave 2x anytime you want. You can sleep all day depending on the ra because minors have to sign a minor log. If you’re not a minor you’re good. You can have lashes n nails but I recommend not getting long ones if it’s hard for you to type with them. And some teachers let you come in and learn with them if your trade teacher allows it.
Medical billing and coding/medical administrative assistant. & my classes aren’t hard the basic education are things I already learned. You just have to constantly reminder the teachers to get stuff done for you, like when you complete something and are moving to the next lesson.

How do the admin n teachers treat u all? What are examples of chores? How often do they check dorm for cleaness? What are NIR’s given out for? Is there a lot of drama, yelling or fighting going on (maybe not ur crowd but are there others)? Any racial tensions? What’s the food like? How often do you get to go off campus to rec place (swim, basketball?) Do you do extra stuff to earn that? Do students get away w do’n drugs/weed?
It's a light prison mentality. They want you to stay on "campus" to make you feel like you can't leave. I could give you my number and tell you everything that I witnessed and all the laws that the ill educated employees happily committed against me.
what is the dress code? like say i want to walk out my dorm room to go make food in the microwave can i wear shorts that’s mid thigh and loose? is the wifi good? can you obtain your GED then leave without completing your trade? is it drama filled there? they have the highest rating in florida so i have high hopes:) do they go through your bags in front of other people?? i don’t want to become a target if seen i have lots of things i could definitely spare which i don’t mind but i don’t want to get taken advantage of out of my things. i know there r 4 people to a room but do your roommates friends come in nd hang out with them? i personally dont want that. can i have a extension cord to? will you think i’ll have a hard time there if i’m quiet? what do we do on days when we’re sick and need to stay in bed like having cramps or a headache? how much warm clothes and summer clothes should we bring and how many shoes plus brand of shoes? how long do we shower for if we have to be out dorms by a certain time many might not take morning showers but i do idk if my roommates will too but how long do u recommend staying in the shower so you’re clean enough but not taking up others shower time. do they have healthy food options? is getting your drivers license there hard like a long waiting line? can you bring pain meds and orajel? i have toothaches daily.
Plenty . What state is st.pete in? How long do u HAVE to stay in jc? I only learn about guys and wanna be around the guys as much as possible how do I find myself in a jc where the girls and guys can blend? And NOT BE SEPARATED? Me and girls will fight soooo….. no point in making me do all girls

I didn’t my mom dropped me off. I don’t know about that but I’m pretty sure they’ll probably give you a specific place they’ll pick you and other kids up at.

You can’t wear bonnets, robs, & short shorts outside your dorm. Also you can’t have on crop tops n shirts that show your bra. You can bring whatever snacks just don’t bring anything you have to put in the fridge. You can have noodles because they have a microwave in the dorms. You just can’t have “bulk” items. They’ll tell you what size stuff you can bring when they send your acceptance letter.

Your good, i was asking other job corps RU-vidrs before I got here. School is from 8:00am-3:45pm, you get different classes that are different lengths. And no they don’t have stores on campus for stuff like that, but they have a snack store & clothing store. If you need any hygiene products or anything in general they have Walmart trips every week. & for the used products they give the females hanging bags for their dorms, that go on the back of the toilet or you can just throw them in the trash that’s in your dorm.
