Yes this clutch is HEAVY... almost ridiculously heavy. It will definitely take some getting used to for your left forearm to hold the clutch lever at a long red light. But ya when you drop it, it grabs hard
Leaky fork seal should be nothing, depending. It is often as easy as removing the front wheel, then removing a bolt out of the bottom of the fork leg and pulling the leg off. Then you remove a dust boot, then a circlip, then pry out the old seal and put a new one in, but this all depends on how they made it. This is how easy it's supposed to be. Then you top it off with oil after you figure out how much you need to put back in. Did you change the fork oil at 30,000 miles? It does get dirty you know.
New to the DY of jet tuner,,wondering what do you need to purchase to do what you did". I saw the tuner but do you need anything different installed on your scout to perform the tuning?
Thanks mate. My previous bike was a VRod Muscle and I've been looking for a new bike and test riding cruisers. All I can say after riding both is that the management team at Harley should be very concerned. I will definitely be buying an Indian, either the Chief Dark Horse Bobber or the Scout Bobber.
My name is PA Baker. I am from Pennsylvania. I am a Harley owner but I bought a scout 60 for my wife and I just bought me a scout 60 2016. It does have a tune on it. Let her absolutely love it
You wouldn’t ever buy Indian over an Harley. And Harley has upgrades where two bikes won’t look the same. And how is Indian more honorable. Indian stole parts from from Harley cause they are honorable.
Did you change your clutch because it was having issues? What were the issues you were having? Update: I just changed my new clutch yesterday and works awesome. For anyone that want to know my issues I was having was my bike was slipping when I would put it in first gear I would turn the throttle and the bike would go a little but would start to just sound like it was reving and not moving like it should. I might make a more I'm detail video of how to replace the clutch. There is more things I had to do that were not in the vid. Anyone that has questions feel free to hit me up.
@@5pt7art yeah before changing your clutch out you need to drain the oil so it's basically the same two bolts underneath that you would have to remove when changing the motor oil. one is by the kickstand and the other is about couple inches away.
Hey sir I'm finding this video 2 years too late so hopefully you'll see this stupid question. If I'm just replacing the clutch cover with a new one, and not messing with the clutch at all, I don't have to drain the engine oil first, correct?
As long as you "safely" have the bike laying on its side, you should not have to drain the oil. I did it between oil changes so I already had the oil drained. If you lay the bike over, I would put down a couple pieces of 2x4s and some folded towels to set the handlebars and pegs on -Nathan Rokusek (signed in on wrong account)
I'm looking to buy a Scout in the next few months and had a question. Do you ride yours in the rain a lot? This bike would be replacing a Kawasaki that I daily (regardless of weather). I was wondering if everything holds up pretty well to the abuse of constantly riding in those conditions. Thanks in advance. Awesome video btw.
I've ridden in the rain probably a three or four dozen times by now... never had any issues APART from the AFTERMARKET headlight I installed fogging up.. definitely just chinese crap. I don't get a ton of rain where i live so its not a constant thing, but when it does, i don't make it an excuse not to ride. Hope this helps. -Sorry, i'm signed in under my other account
Hey man, quick question cause I can't tell from the vid, but did you put the disc with the larger inner diameter (the only one thats different than the others) in first or last? I think it goes in first, right?
When I uploaded my file to dynojet there was not a compatible tune for my 2021 scout bobber with track intake and combat 2-1 exhaust. I emailed the file to dynojet and they made me a custom file for my bike. Their tech support is awesome also. I do agree that the tuner is way over priced though
If a bike hasn’t been on a dyno then it’s not ‘custom’ tuned… period. A tune sent to a bike owner is a ‘Generic ‘canned’ tune’, that everyone gets and I promise is not custom to your bike. A bike with a ‘canned’ tune will still gain more power after a true custom dyno tune, fact.
The mount i made is totally sketchy lol. I think I just drilled a hole in the bottom of the drone the same diameter of a typical GoPro screw, that way I could put a standard GoPro case on it... definitely weighs down the drone haha
@@NathanRokusek Love your vid. You say the camera weighs down the drone, I guess that’s tongue in cheek. To me, it doesn’t look like the extra weight was any problem. Can’t wait to rig my mount. Thanks
Took 30 mins to do. No need to remove both supports. Take the right side completely off, leave the long bolts in. Idk how you’d manage to mess up the intake. This is a very simple install.
I have the apes and seat changed out. I was looking at getting the floorboards but on the fence as I think I’ve outgrown the bike. I have no doubt they have got to be better than those pegs.
