My channel here promotes music from around the world. I speak four languages fluently: English, Russian, German, and Spanish. And I understand French and Ukrainian. I sing in ten languages: the six I just mentioned + Belarusian, Farsi, Italian, and Chinese. Next up, I hope to learn songs in Arabic, Hebrew, and Swahili.
For those curious about my background: I was born in North Germany to Russian parents with some Ukrainian heritage. Then my family and I moved to Canada, where I grew up after age eight. I learned Spanish in Spain while doing charity work and enrolling in intensive language classes.
As to music: I believe it to be the universal language. Expressing it in many languages only fortifies this point. We can listen to music in a language we do not understand, and yet feel what it says and the emotions it so clearly conveys :)
