Vanita's Corner is all about simple vegetarian, non-vegetarian recipes and gardening tips.

I, Vanita am a Mangalorean, married to a Maharashtrian. Hence, you will find a lot of Mangalorean and Maharashtrian recipes on this channel. Besides Mangalorean and Maharashtrian recipes, you will also find recipes from other regions of India, especially age old recipes that you will not find on restaurant menus, recipes that are on the verge of getting forgotten.

I have an affinity for traditional/regional recipes and am always looking out for such recipes, trying them in my kitchen and if it works for me, I post it here. This is a miniscule attempt on my part to preserve these recipes for the generations to come.

So, like me, if you are fond of traditional/ regional recipes, join me in my journey of exploring Indian cuisine. Do subscribe to my channel and leave your feedback in the comments section. It encourages me to create new videos and post it in this space.

Thank you

Vanita

WoW this is so cool ❤ Tell you something today 12th Sep our parijat plant has given it's 1st flower in our balcony garden & that too in indirect bright light without any direct sunlight!! I bought it a month back in August and took good care of this plant & I'm very grateful to get flowers so early in our small plant.

The place where I live at has all the ingredients other than Tamarind Pulp. I was wondering if there were any substitutions ?
@vanitascorner
@vanitascorner Месяц назад
You can try adding kokum pulp. ...and if even kokum is not available, then add lemon juice once the sabzi is done.

One doesn't need to cook the brined jackfruit rind a little? Wouldn't it be hard to chew?
@vanitascorner
@vanitascorner Месяц назад
There is no need to cook. When brined, jackfruit rind becomes soft.

This hand pollination is a good idea, but I see only male flowers on my plant. Any guidance?
@vanitascorner
@vanitascorner Месяц назад
Initially, the karela plant may produce only male flowers, but over time, female flowers will gradually appear.

As a gym enthusiast, I'm all about peanut butter. It's my protein-packed go-to for energy. However finding one without harmful additives was a challenge until I tried Alpino Peanut Butter. It's all-natural-no preservatives or added sugars, just pure goodness. Perfect on bread for a low-calorie treat. Gym lovers and everyone else, this is the one for all your nutrient needs, with a delicious, creamy texture that's hard to beat!
