Excellent battle report. Really nice touch with the combat animation overlayed on the tabletop footage. Bravo. Hope all is well, sir. Channel seems dormant, but I hope you see this and it finds you well. Cheers.
Good question. For this specific piece it didn't warp. Not sure what I did to avoid it. When I would do it now I would do a layer of pva also under the cardboard at the same time. This should even it out. Cheers, Tristan
Pikes not long enough! We know from Polybius that the first five ranks, in 'closed up' order had their pike points projecting beyond the front rank. For close/open order, 8 or 16 ranks deep, check out Polybius' account of Issus, which preserves part of Callisthenes' lost eyewitness account, and the later description of phalanx drill in Asclepiodotus, also Frontinus' partial account of Phillip One Eye's phalanx disordering the Athenians and Thebans at Chaeronea.
@@athilith hi Tristan, many thanks for your quick reply. Yes, l was almost sure l recognized them from the Perry AWI metal collections. Nice sculpts indeed. What is your native language if it is not a secret? You did an amazing job making all those videos for us, and they inspired me over many years to start doing the French & Indian war in 28mm. I built up a French Navy & British Navy with mainly Galloping major , Black cat bases, Blood and plunder and some Northstar figurines, 200 figs each.. 2 frigates (self made), 4 brigs and 8 gunsloops.. also rowboats longboats etc. Then 100 militia for both sides.. for the French mixed with indians (conquest, frontrank and northstar) and some 100 French Compagnie franches de la marine, and planning on creating 100 dragoons for the British using Perry napoleonic french dragoons with a head replacement using King's mountain minis tricorn hats. This cavalry can fight both mounted and dismounted. I make my own log houses, farms etc.. building those tiny houses with half half joinery, like in real. I will try to make some videos for you in the future. If you like also can make tutorials. Where do you live? we could try play French & Indian games over camera. Do you think it would work? Give me some time, because l am far from ready. Happy Christmas days for you and your family. Edgard
@@polkagatos Thanks for the nice comment Edgar. My native language is Estonian. :) Oo, you seem to have a massive collection! Would love to see your work indeed. I have played a game of M&T over video with Gerry from Beasts of War, it worked well and was good fun :) Thank you for the kind wishes and same to you and your family. Cheers.
@@athilith hi Tristan, l hope you have a successful new year with all your projects! So if your native language is Estonian, do you live in Estonia? l recently moved from the Netherlands to Latvia. Your southern neighbour XD
What a cool game. I love a game that doesn't require piles and stacks of tokens and cards. Just a book, generic dice, and minis. Hopefully I can get a group to play this
This video is old (very old) and don't know if this channel still alive or not. But still, thank to your Battle Report that now i can understand how to play this game.
I do believe I've seen a Kickstarter drive to get this game funded, I rather liked he newt-like characters and everything is delightfully alien and NOT Warhammer! I wish I got on board with this game but sadly, that boat has long sailed!
Late to this "party"/video... but where is this H25 truck's front bumper? You had showed it in your part 1 video... it was/is the bar component with the tow cable wrapped around it...
The Rubicon models are more for modeling (more fine details) and the Warlord are more for gaming (sturdier, for example the front wheels). For the terrain I highly recommend 4Ground models.
Look great! I just got this box set. Hey fort Duquesne is the goal of General Braddock! Haha The battle happened just across the river from where I live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. 👍
