My name is Andy Detwiler. I farm in mid western Ohio where we grow corn and soybeans. As you can see, I do things slightly different than most other farmers in the country. Come along with me as I take you through my tasks and challenges that occur in my daily life.

You said Marysville If it’s Kansas I’ve seen you guys many times. I’ve always enjoyed watching the sky tractor at work and so far you have not over sprayed my sweet corn and killed it.
A few years ago, I got to trouble shoot a Motorola (non-avionic) radio having issues interfacing with the on board audio in an Air Tractor 602. Really cool aircraft. I had to pull several exterior panels to chase wiring. That cockpit is really tight for me at 6'2". The product tank is actually between the cockpit and the engine so the center of gravity doesn't shift much as the tank empties. There is a slot in the dash where you can see how much liquid is in the tank.
Thanks for sharing this memory making video. As a retired farmer this reminded me of my summer evenings helping a couple pilot friends flag for them as they flew late day applications of organo-phosphates. Yes we got drenched a few times but the job was a rush. Believe me this was fun to watch!
I worked with the FAA for quite a number of years as an aviation avionics inspector and my first accident investigation was a crop duster crash. I always enjoyed talking and visiting with the pilots when I got to visit.
The most bad ass farmer that I ever lived!!!!😂 bro said pneumonia that ain’t gonna take me out. I got no fucking arms. 😂 that’s not a real Merican I don’t know what is 🫡🇺🇸 Rock on Andy!
Any time I'm feeling sorry for myself, I can always watch one of Andy's videos, this one especially, and not only does it cheer me up, but it really puts things into perspective. This man was beset by incredible tragedy at such an early age, and had every excuse to, justifiably so, live in victimhood, and instead not only persevered through that adversity, but THRIVED. Truely an incredible person in so many ways. The world is less full without you, Andy. RIP.
I watched (while driving down a local NZ highway) a duster dive bomb a field between two shelter belts. Quite took my breath away and broke my concentration for some kilometres. My giddy aunt, how roomy were his undies under the straps?
Given my very limited experience with airplanes & flying, the sound of the crop duster idling makes me think of turboprop planes at the airport. Very stimulating.
I'm in the middle of crop dusting ag pilots for as far as the eye can see in all directions and then some and I've yet to see or hear of the first unit in use in this part of the country.
Cool, coool, super excited, oh my gosh, cool, super excited, og my Gosh .... Looks like you are american? Can you say at least one sentence without these stupid American words with no real meaning?
Brings back memories. Tubby Callaway sprayed my grandfathers crops in a Stearman biplane, rotary engine. When I was 5 and 6 yrs old. Loved watching those planes fly.
