@@SunnyDays70s You can’t say a thing? Interesting, now keep your mouth shut when talking about Selena’s Vocal Abilities. But yet, you can’t even speak about what singing is to you. Zip It, sweetheart💗😊
She can sing. But y’all little shits still say she can’t. DID Y’ALL EVEN WATCH THE VIDEO? Edit: I used to think she couldn’t sing too, but now I’ve actually WATCHED the video. I stand completely corrected. I’m so sorry Selena.😅 She has a nice tone, we shouldn’t expect Selena to be an Ariana or Mariah.
I love Selena, she hasn't got the best voice in the world but she sang live on this tour and gave it 100%, honestly there were quite a few times on that tour where she sang better live than she did on the studio version
Her voice and tone are so unique and angelic and her control over falsetto is remarkable she really has some points that feels like her confort and power zone like low notes and falsetto and her tone in calm music like transfiguration
I've ALWAYS said that, more than Demi OR Miley (or Hilary, if you want to stretch the metaphor) Selena is the only one whose voice seems to get powerful over time. She has a light, airy tone; yes, but if you listen carefully, you hear her melodies (something else I love about her voice; the highly melodic singing) are girded with a hint of steel. She's becoming more vocally sure-footed, and I like that in any singer.
Ariana is an acrobat; she can reach those crazy high notes, and sometimes a good blast of melisma can make my day. Demi has the strongest voice of the three; her tone is thick, dense and powerful, she handles notes and key changes with dexterity and ease. But Selena is my fave of the three; she has a light, airy tone; almost a whisper in some parts. She strikes me as being the most melodic of the three, as she seems to rely less on gymnastics than on sheer tune. While Ariana and Demi more than hold their own in the melody department, Selena is the most melodic of the three.
I miss Selena doing more beltings in her songs instead of head voice, with the exception of "Vulnerable" and "Wolves", the Rare album barely had any impacting belt in a "climax moment" different by her old albums in we have as example: C5 in A Year Without Rain, C#5 in Love You Like a Love Song, Sober and Slow Down and F5 in "Naturally" and "Music Feels Better"
