I am a wife and working mother of three boys and a girl. I started my creative journey in High School where I made scrapbooks with memorabilia from sporting and UIL Events. That translated to scrapbooks of my college shenanigans. After college, as a young working mother of two, I went to a Christmas Card Workshop hosted by a CTMH Maker and signed up immediately. That was in 2002 and I haven't looked back since. I recently signed up to be a Stampin' Up Demonstrator where I will continue my love of all things paper and stamps! Since I work full-time and run after four very active children, Scrapbooking is a stress-reliever and a creative outlet that I enjoy SO MUCH!!!
Lovely layout. I enjoyed watching how you combined multiple kits from different companies. They worked together perfectly. The stitching around the edges is so cute.
Adorable layout and pics of your boys, Katy. I love the stitching. That is something that I have been too scared to try. 😂. How do you like the Take Your Pick tool? I’m still adjusting to the putty pick up adapter.
Love the tree and the stitching, the boys are so young. So glad you got to capture this moment. If you find that card you can always add it with a flip flap.
I love the "stitching" around the edges of the pages. I agree with you about the handwriting. About the only thing I have with my mother's handwriting is recipe cards. I have a lot of letters with my daddy's handwriting because he was overseas in the army when I was a baby. My mother saved all of those. She just didn't save anything with her handwriting.
Hello Katy, I am watching this video on replay, 2 months later. I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy all your videos. You are such an inspiration and I love learning new techniques from you. By this time, you may have mastered the Stampin Up Pickup Tool. I have been using this tool for many years and wouldn't be caught dead without it! LOL I do not use it to pickup my dimensionals, I use it to pickup the little gems, jewels, or as I call them, my bling. I have tried other's but nothing does it for me like Stampin Up's Pickup Tool. Although I miss CTMH deeply, I love seeing how the Creative Design Team is using Stampin Up product as I have been purchasing from them for years. Thank you, for sharing your talents with us.
Thank you so much! I haven't mastered the Take Your Pick Tool yet but that's because I keep reaching for my tried and true...old habits die hard, lol. I'm enjoying learning how to love the new products and am enjoying being a "newbie" again, so to speak. TFW!
I love that heart paper...I even found some shoes with the pattern - didn't buy them but I sure was tempted...lol. Thanks for watching and letting me know what you thought!
Beautiful layout! I always love coming across layouts/process videos using my lines - such a treat! You did wonderful with it - sometimes we just have to use all the things!
Oh, Traci...this line is absolutely ADORABLE!!!! I didn't even think to check for the designer (huge fan of yours). This one had to have ALL THE THINGS...lol...good thing is that I still have tons more left over :0)
I can't wait to see what you do with it! There's also an app I failed to mention, that allows you to find the font used or something similar! The app is called What the Font - you take a photo of the font you're trying to match and it tells you what matches. Can't wait to see what you try with this technique, Amy!
Thank you, Miss Eleanor! This store was definitely an experience! It had 6 floors and a floor dedicated to our soccer player, our football player, me, and even our daughter at the time!
Fresh paint was one of the best paper collections they bought out as it was so bright & modern for teenage photos. Really nice pages to tell the story!! I had to chuckle at what your son remembered of the day! So typical of us all when we were kids... 😂
Thank you...this one was a fun one! I've had the pictures printed for a while to use and then Fresh Paint just came to me during one of our 4-hr drives to/from Dallas...lol. At least all the travel is beneficial for something 😊
I'll check my stash for you. I used to use them but then changed to 3-Ring Albums instead so I might have some that I stocked up on prior to the switch. Are you in the US?
Thank you...I love that the colors matched so well. Did you check out the other videos in this collab? I missed that the theme was Summer but I think since we start school so much earlier than we did when I was a kit, it kinda fits...lol
@@scrappinkaty Yes, I watched them all! I wish I could get better at video's so I could do things like collaborations, but my editing is so bad. I just don't get it. My channel is going know where.
What an incredible collection! I can understand why you wanted to add so much of it, and the photo doesn't get lost. The clusters are so fun and perfect for back to school! LOVE THIS LAYOUT! ❤
Thank you, Jessica! It's so hard working with one photo and since my mom took it on an actual camera, the image is already lost so there was no cropping and enlarging it. I'm extremely happy with all the embellishments and so glad you think the photo still stands out!
Sweet photo of you and daughter. Love the way you pulled the papers together to create a page that is not only interesting but with colors that play up your daughter’s part in photo❤❤❤
I so love the mix of papers including the scraps of zinnias. Agree with that last minute addition of the dark brown spilled coffee paper on those edges. Another fabulous page! ☕️🌸
