You didn't do as bad as you might think. You got caught by the time like nearly everybody doing this Guild Assignment the first time. The thing is : You didn't have time to fully upgrade your Artillery Dome, and also didn't have time to familiarize with and got to use it against a massive enemy wave without warm-up. You should maybe have upgraded the lift a little to make it somewhat useful. Also. Missiles are pretty strong in normal run, because they automatically reload for each monster wave. But in this scenario, you've got only 10 missiles for the whole huuuuuuge wave, and when they are gone they are gone. So in this specific run they weren't that worth to spend resources on... Unless... You would have managed to find something on this map that would make missile reload _during_ the combat ? That would have help uh ? 😏 Tip #22 : About the lift, the deeper you dig under the lift's pathway, the longer it will extend, and the longer orbs travel time will be (because they always go to the bottom of the lift, even if resources are above). So to get better output from the lift it's better not to dig to deep below it too early. Enjoyable to watch nonetheless.

As an old DK player with hundreds of runs behind me its very refreshing and entertaining to see the gameplay of someone who's discovering the game from scratch. I must say, for starting from zero, you learn quite fast, and make pretty sensible decision. Small tip #87 : (even-though you didn't need it for this run) if your Underground Station or Lift (Lift is another gadget not discovered yet) cannot go down because it met _unbreakable_ bedrock *that is not the bottom of the map* , but just a random unbreakable bedrock in the middle (like it did on this run). It can still go through it to follow you until you reach the _real_ bottom, but you have to go underneath the unbreakable rock and break the rocks beneath it to clear the way for your gadget. It will automatically trigger an animation and dig a passage for your station (or Lift) to go through the hindering bedrock. This was done recently as a bypass solution, because of the new map generation pattern, it's more likely that your Station can get stuck in the middle of the map because of a random rock thus rendering the gadget less useful and unbalancing the game.
