This is why I love Korn. I was sexually abused by several people ever since I was a child, one of the worst was my cousin’s dad who did it from then time I was 12 till around 20, I went to a therapist at 17 and told her and she made me tell my grandma who brought me and then we told my aunt but they told me to not tell my parents and so I didn’t until one drunk night when it came out just in the last 3 years and then my cousin and her family found out too and her mother texted me and said I was a damn liar. I still seem him all the time walking up the road with his dog cause he’s been our neighbor since 2010. So Korn is a great band and you don’t feel alone going through shit and you can feel Jon’s pain here. Korn is my favorite band, the music really touches my heart and allows me to kinda get that anger out too. I suffer from PTSD and Panic Disorder from all this shit and music has always been something I loved and has helped me, sometimes I just listen to it the entire damn day, whether I lay in my bed or on the floor doing nothing else. I also will write poems or write stories dealing with real life situations and I got real heavy with drug abuse too. Going through that kinda thing stays with you your entire fuckin life.
These were people who had lived under the thumb of Communism all their lives. If you were caught listing to Rock and Roll, you got thrown in prison and it was probably your next door neighbor who turned you in. This concert was the ultimate let your hair down and have fun moment. Even the soldiers rocked out. Just a few years before if they had done that... they would have been shot.
I’ve seen so many of these reactions and I can’t thank you enough for catching the moments where these reactors stopped being influencers and allowed themselves to be influenced. We are all human and I’m so grateful to be here with you all.

My roommate in inpatient hospital gave this song to me. This is the war within me. This is what is going on inside of me even now. I first thought it was sung from the prospective of the parent. But then realise it seemed like it was from the prospective of the child not the parent. Perhaps the lyrics could be interpreted as being sung from both the parent and child's perspective. Very interesting song, I always respect someone who isn't afraid to explore storytelling from the dark perspective, because in order to defeat your enemy you must understand them and therefore if we want to stop rape we must understand it. As said in the film forbidden planet, "We are all part monster in our subconscious" just takes the wrong life experience to turn you into one. I think anyone of us if raised or experienced a certain way of life from birth, could do the worst things, no one is either good or evil. We are in-between, it just depends on your upbringing, experiences and choices. To hide from that truth is to ignore what human being is, an animal. After listening to the whole song the singer is singing about something that happened to him, whether that is a true story or not he disserves a huge amount of respect. Perhaps anyone who hears this song might be able to realise what it can do to someone's mind to perform this act on someone. Anyone sick enough in mind to do it might think twice, regret their thoughts and prevent themselves from doing it.
There needs to be a documentary on this concert. It was pretty much put together in 3 weeks, so how do you get Visa’s for the bands and crew so fast for example.
This, besides being an amazing song, really delves into the good, the bad and the ugly workings of Mental Health. On the 12th September it will be R U Ok Day. Check in with your family and friends, but more importantly, check in with yourself. Don’t ever be ashamed to ask for help….
I literally discovered this 2 days ago and I can't stop watching the reaction videos. I'm a 60 year old grandma from Mid-State IL. I grew up in a time when our music had MEANING and stood for something. Our generation were putting daisies in the barrels of National Guard rifles at protest marches. As someone who has worked in social services and mental health & addiction for over 20+ years.... THIS song .... matters!!!! Thank you for restoring my faith in the production of this masterpiece. Look how music brings people together from all races, sexes, and ages. This song here is deep. I love to sing it but the last few lines of the song get me Everytime. I lose my voice slightly and fight back tears.
