It sounded quite noisy in the public areas, obviously it's going to be loud because there are lots of people but are all cruises generally that noisy ?
@@charlockleyvlogsok. I'm not keen on crowds but it looks like there are plenty of places to go to where it's quieter. I've read that shorter cruises are sometimes described as booze cruises so I assumed it would be full of drunk people being lairy lol I don't drink and I hate being around lots of drunk people. Did you notice much of that? Also not just specific to this cruise but what's it like at night/early morning? Do you notice much noise from people going to and from their cabins/on their balconies? Can you hear people opening and shutting doors like you can in hotels sometimes? Sorry for all the questions.
@@humbug83 There are so many quiet areas where you can relax on a cruise ship! On this MSC cruise, I know exactly what you mean as it was being sold as a party cruise! But to be honest, there weren’t any issues! Everyone was respectful and mindful about the noise! I thought it was great! I could only hear noises when I was out on the balcony like the doors closing, but when I was in the cabin I didn’t hear anything. But I guess that also depends on the location of your cabin as you could be above or below public venue, so I would say research the cabin locations before booking!
i have indeed been on this ship before, just this summer, hardly 2 months ago! She really is lovely. I really reccomend the Freedom Dining restaraunts, and the Olive Grove for healthy eating, as well as the 6th Street Diner for a treat! Our cabin was great (Balcony). Our favourite bit was that we were constantly moving, and travelled so mych each night! We would wake up to a different view every morning. Cant wait to sail with P&O again, onboard Britannia, taking us to Northern Europe and Scandinavia! 😊
Hi, we go on a 14 day cruise from Southampton on this ship, I was worried about the comments about over crowding and poor food, but your effervescent review has put my mind at rest!
Hi we go on Saturday aswelll , been on before for a week. Tbh couldn't fault it , modern stunning liner..... if the chefs aren't cooking burgers and chips the English aren't happy. The pizzas are amazing and they have their own mozzarella factory in main buffet area. Looking forward to it...... 6 of us going this time.
We still have yet to get on our 2nd and 3rd P&O cruises Iona (this year)& Brittania next year but recently we have noticed Ambassador another cruise company that 1 cruise is going to other ports in Norway
Charlotte. Another great vlog from a great girl ha ! Couple of questions! Was the sky lift sold out on p&o excursions or was it sold out from outside the Iona as well? And the spa day voucher, did you go to the spa or anything to get it or was it just in your room?
@@TeamMJ thank you so much! For this cruise both the P&O excursion and booking directly were sold out! We were told it’s because there was another ship in! And the £30 spa voucher was left outside our cabin! I don’t know how they choose who gets them, but I feel it may be down to how busy the spa is too!
Oooo have a great time! I would say if you haven’t been on the ship before then have a wander round to get used to where things are! Make sure to pack formal attire if you wish to dress up! And research the dining/bars before you go!

It was for us as the 3rd and 4th guests were a lot cheaper! Sometimes they have deals on where 3 and 4 go for much cheaper (£499 ish) or even for free!

This new ship does not have the warm and welcoming feel of the other Cunard ships. Many people have said that it's like any other cruise lines' ships on the inside. After seeing it, we cancelled our booking. You gave us a really good tour.

I'm actually going to do this for Easter this weekend as express pass are $320 on that day. The rooms at Portofino seem to be a little less than Royal Pacific probably because of construction. I will actually spend 1 night there checking in the morning before I hit the parks. Do you know if parking is pretty straight forward? I've only stayed at Royal Pacific and have done 1 night for express passes. It's a solid move!

Vaccination requirement was disgraceful, especially for those less than 70 years old, and not scientifically supported to impact infection transmission. Almost as bad as the very poor use of antigen tests which did not measure for present infection. I understand cruise companies had to adhere to CDC etc recommendations but people themselves were so self rightous. Thank goodness it is now not required.
