If your in Perth again hit me up be cool to catch up, I'm 43 been in oz for 19 years now, doing an amazing job mate she is going to be a bloody weapon that's for sure
I work with a grinder more than most people and use no guard and the thin blades always, I Only use a battery grinder without guard and I only use pferd 1mm cuting blades and never have issues,
I know that late XB’s started to have XC parts on them. Is your XB early, or late; the replacement radiator support you have, may be the opposite early/late…. 🤔 And yeah, I agree with the comment about using a guard on your grinder. Otherwise, great to see the new work!😃👍
Been following your car for a long time and it’s awesome to see what this version is turning into!! Might even give me some motivation to finish my build 😂😂
Came across your video looking at the joels hoists. It is what I expected, takes half a day to lift on single phase 😂. But beggers can't be choosers. Good to see it doesn't appear to be THAT hard to set up.
Wasn't expecting that blow out at the end! And no curse words 😮I'd of gone well cursing. Mate my compressor here it's so old you need to stand outside when it cuts in😅 anyway. Xb looking awesome in the engine bay fab work. Your doing a stunning job on the front support let alone the rest of it.
Hey Phil, I am in love with then truck and your vision forward. Tho it might be time for a new drawing / poster of the 2 F trucks together :P. Keep up the good work mate.
How good is that what a weapon man bit of lovin and man that's going to earn it's keep great find they're still out there to find and enjoy the ride ,smiles for miles.
Just a quick side note ,the front windows scratches will come out if not serious gouges , go to the big green shed get you some 5 0's steel wool and some polish for glass they have it there should come up a treat fella .
Great find, it’s like it was meant to be. Even though it would cost a lot more, I think I’d try and make it a hydraulic tilt tray like a modern tow truck.
My guess it would have been sold by Jennison Ford in Burra. He was a good friend of my old man. Back in the day drove a XY GT as all good Ford dealers did.
Great video Phil and cool truck. The F700 was a big truck in the day. They used this model to pull bogie axle semi trailers and the newspaper delivery runners used them for rapid overnight deliveries of big city newspapers to regional areas because they were fast. Two speed diffs play up regularly but not hard oe expensive to fix. There isn’t a lot of difference in speed between hi/low, it’s mainly for hills when loaded heavy. Otherwise just go through all five gears in Lo, then pop it onto hi when up to speed. It is very original and period correct down to lights and other aftermarket parts. Getting decent tyres in that size is getting hard now and a lot of guys that drive their trucks on historic rego are happy enough with newer tubeless type tyres and rims. I love how excited you are about the truck mate. I would be too. 👍 p.s. don’t fit LED lights to it. They just don’t suit the era. And I would like to see you built a period style tilt tray instead of a ramp truck.
