Depends what type! Olympic lifting and powerlifting probably are as they are maximal sub-10 second bouts of effort with large rest times to replenish ATP stores. Other workouts and weightlifting would probably lean more towards the Anaerobic Glycolysis system. Hope that clears things up!
Yes as the video says you can use any method. Smartwatch is best! However, you need to do the full 3 minutes of step ups and then measure heart rate at the end of your 1 rest minute.
