Absolutely loved the content! However going through each question available on the gmat club even after filtering out on the difficulty level is alot!! What would yo suggest? Should one go through the entire question set of a particular difficulty level or?
@EuroStudyPro
@EuroStudyPro 12 дней назад
I wouldn't recommend literally doing every question on GMAT club. Instead, you want to aim for 30-60 questions/day (depending on how long you study and what you're studying exactly). How much you want to use the filters also depends on the study phase you're in. In the beginning you mind find that doing random exercises from an easy difficulty level help you find your weaknesses. Once you know those weaknesses, you can start using the specific filters to zoom in on areas that specifically require improvement before you move onto higher difficulty levels.

Very informative! How many hours do you think are sufficient for a score above 645 or 700(old scale)?
@EuroStudyPro
@EuroStudyPro 25 дней назад
The short answer is on average 100 hours for a score that is better than a 60th percentile and on average 120 hours for a 90th percentile score (i.e. 655+). But it obviously depends on your personal history with generalized tests, your familiarity with the theory, and how effectively your study. You can find more about the time people spend on average on their GMAT studies here here: www.prepscholar.com/gmat/blog/how-long-to-study-for-the-gmat/

100,000 euros just after graduating? Damn
@EuroStudyPro
@EuroStudyPro 2 месяца назад
Although EUR 100.000 is definitely possible, it isn't easy straight out of university. But for opportunity cost, rather than considering the first year out of uni, I would consider the average salary you will make during your career. Or even more accurately you could look at the present value of the last year of income you will earn in your life, since that is what you will earn more if you work for one year longer than you would have if you take a year longer to study. For simplicity, 100.000 works good enough for this video hahaha

if i am not wrong mif is similar to mim with specialisation in finance? also watching your videos really helping a lot as i am also trying to apply for MIMs for 25 intake cause i am not sure about specialisation i want to pursue except some internships in finance space
@EuroStudyPro
@EuroStudyPro 2 месяца назад
I will make a video about this later but in short: the Mim is a 2- or 3-year program with the first year being more general business courses, for those that want to a gap year and in the last year the specialisation. One of the specialisations that you can pursue is the MIF. Because I have a bachelor's in Business Administration, I did not feel the first year of the Mim would be usefull for me. Thus I directly applied to the MIF program.

As always very interesting! A video about the differences between the master’s degree in finance and management would also be stimulating, perhaps going on to see the job opportunities of both. From what little I did I seemed to understand that masters in finance open the doors even in consulting, otherwise management does not open in banking. If you like, I think a nice video might come out!

great video! If it is not the subject of the next videos, what materials did you use? eg. TTP, Magoosh... or only the official guides?
@EuroStudyPro
@EuroStudyPro 4 месяца назад
Hey Imatte, I appreciate your proactivity! I will first make a more general video about the GMAT comparing it with the GRE, and then a video about my strategy of studying for the GMAT. In about two to three weeks, I will make a video about all of the materials I used. If you are already starting and want to know which materials to buy asap so that you can start, I could give you a quick summary in a DM. I personally wouldn't suggest buying an online course. Getting from 0 to a 50th percentile score you can definitely do on your own and a course won't help much with that. If you really start plateauing you could consider it, but I would recommend trying the alternatives first.

I’m still in my first year of my bachelor’s, but I was hoping I could prepare my GMAT this summer. I’ve pre-ordered the new edition of the manhattan prep that’s still out. I think I should move like this, already in the first year because in my opinion here in Italy there is more and more information about masters... and it is becoming more and more competitive. I would still be grateful if you could tell me what material you would recommend, where can I write to you? In any case thank you for this opportunity and I continue to support you from Italy!

I'm very sorry for not replying earlier. I'm afraid I've missed your comment... I am going to post more videos about the GMAT soon, but in a short summary: My best advice would be to use the GMATclub exercises (they're free) and make a lot of notes. Get yourself some mock exams that have strong analytics features and make sure to focus on your weaknesses before moving on to more difficult questions. But then again: your notes are the most important. Once you get to the hard questions it's all about specific tricks to specific questions. Make elaborate notes and you'll know how to solve a hard question the second time you encounter a similar one. Hope that makes up for the delayed response haha

What do you recommend wearing for the interview?
@EuroStudyPro
@EuroStudyPro 7 месяцев назад
I personally went for a suit without a tie to look formal but not too uptight. In my case the interviewer and the alumni were not formally dressed, so a neat shirt would also go well. Just make sure to not look unprofessional by wearing a sweater or a simple t-shirt.

How long is the interview itself and is there any preparation or question time before the actual interview?
@EuroStudyPro
@EuroStudyPro 8 месяцев назад
The interview itself takes about 25-30 minutes but you will have to be ready about 15 minutes before and enter the Zoom call. There you will automatically join the Time Out room of the call with other applicants and HEC students. You can ask the students various questions about the university, campus, associations, etc. For me the time I had before with the students helped me to destress a little and to get more comfortable. Let me know if you have any further questions and I wish you all the best with your HEC application!
