Can I add something like SikaLatex Concrete Bonding Adhesive and Acrylic Fortifier to this mix for even better adhesion/results? If so, any recommendations on what amount of water this Bonding Adhesive should replace?
Hello. You can use Rapid Set Cement All, mixed with our Flow Control Additive, to cast candle vessels. Cement All reaches 3000 psi in just one hour and 9000 psi in 28 days. When casting with this product you will want to water cure each vessel for 45-55 minutes after casting. If you have further questions, let us know.
Stuff looks promising, i love all rapid set products, not much of a drywall guy but have done tons of patching, could this also be used to texture a repair or used to try to match a text on repair
Hi Juan, please email your contact information to info@ctscement.com. There are some details we will need so we can provide you the correct answer. Thank you!
THIS SHIT WILL CRACK AGAIN IN 2 YEARS ALSO SKIMCOATS WILL FLAKE AND COME LOSE IN COUPLE YEARS. STUFF IS EVERY EXPENSIVE AND LABOR CONSUMING. I'LL NEVER USED THIS PRODUCT AGAIN
Excellent product, as advertised. Be aware that the working time is very short, just 4-5 minutes. Completely prepare the project -- remove dirt and loose debris by brush or vacuum, wet the surface with a spray bottle, etc -- before mixing with water. Due to the short working time, it may be best to mix smaller quantities and work in smaller manageable areas, rather than one large area. When done, water the surface with spray bottle and cover with a damp rag for at least an hour, or even overnight. It'll come out amazing.
In my Google search that brought me here, I was hoping to find a kit that would include the steel screen that he's calling substrate. A repair kit for the scenario where a plumber cut through the wall for example, not a stucco-only hole where the stucco somehow just fell off in one spot for some reason, but the substrate is still there ready to cover
Thank you for your inquiry. The products are available in Europe, via Germany. Please send your contact information to info@ctscement.com and we will have our local distributor contact you.
I have smooth stucco on my outside deck with a portion that has been restructured and scratchcoated but not finished and with no color coat. Could I use this as a smooth finish repair for that and just apply acrylic paint over the top?
Hi Jonathan. Rapid Set Stucco Patch or Stucco Mix can be used as a smooth coat stucco finish over your scratch coat. Both of these products are exceptional for stucco repair. Stucco Patch has a thicker 16-20 grit sand texture that allows you to complete any stucco finish if needed. Stucco Patch can be painted after 2 hours, and Stucco Mix can be painted after 16 hours. If you have further questions, let us know.
You will want to repair any cracks in the footer with Rapid Set Cement All. After the repairs are made, you can coat the entire footer with Rapid Set Waterproofing Mortar as your waterproofing coating. If you have further questions, let us know.
I’ve been using Cement All to repair curbs and coping for skateboarding, which get a LOT of abuse. Recently tried Water stop based on its quicker claimed cure time. Which is stronger against chipping and abrasion? And which is actually faster setting?
appreciate the video. It does contradict itself though, as it says to mix in a bucket with a paint mixer, but then the video shows the person pouring it right out of the bottle it comes in, onto the concrete. 😞
Hi Joey, you can use Rapid Set Waterproofing Mortar for coating cement block to create a hot tub. This product offers excellent waterproofing to the block and will retain the hot tub water. Regarding the pvc fittings, you may want to use the Rapid Set Non-Sag Sealant around the pvc to prevent any potential leaks.
Hello. Once the Waterproofing Mortar cures for 5 days, you can apply the Rapid Set Stucco Mix. Make sure to apply the Stucco Mix within 48 hours after the Waterproofing Mortar cure time ends.
Is there any reason I can't use Cement All on concrete that was hand-poured 3 weeks ago? It's a small shed foundation that has a somewhat rough surface. I want to smooth it out and give it a more professional appearance. Of course I'll knock off all loose material first and only apply it to solid concrete.
I've always used concrete to make animal pools for my exotic livestock but we have a lot more flexibility with these types of products, I was given a bunch of fast set mortar that I'd like to use instead of regular concrete... are they safe for drinking water once cured?
Hello. Drinking water applications require an NSF approval for which we do not test for. This is primarily a requirement for specific projects pertaining to potable water, and this test is performed by the construction firm who is performing the work.
Thanks for this! I’ve been using Cement All for small concrete repairs (mostly sidewalk/curb patches) and just discovered Wunderfixx. I know Cement all has a fine silica sand aggregate, Can you explain the difference between the two?
You're welcome, Charlie! Cement All is a structural product that delivers 3000 psi in 1 hour. That product has about a 15-minute working time and is designed for high traffic loads. WunderFixx is a cosmetic concrete smoothing compound that is designed for skim coating concrete surfaces that won't have traffic over them. WunderFixx is not structural and should only be used for aesthetic purposes only. Please let us know if you have further questions.
Hi Jimmy, cement-based products are not really designed to go over wood without the addition of a mesh wire system or other prepping system. This is because wood and cement-based products move and contract differently. With that said, depending on the application, you can use certain products for specific applications. If you can email info@ctscement.com with details of your intended application and contact information, one of our technical representatives will reach out to you to discuss. Thank you!
You can use Rapid Set Cement All to grout in between or underneath flagstone. Cement All is an excellent non-shrink grout that bonds very well to stone, block, brick, and other masonry surfaces.
WunderFixx is not meant to be a wearable coating; it is cosmetic only. We have a product called Rapid Set Concrete Resurfacer www.ctscement.com/product/cr-concrete-resurfacer which is designed to re-top the surface of damaged concrete. This product can be broomed for a textured finish. Let us know if you have additional questions or if you'd like to speak with a technical service representative. Thank you!
Hello, you will need to wire brush the corner bead to remove any rust and loose debris. Then apply a coat of Rapid Set Stucco Patch over the corner bead with at least an 1/8 inch of coverage on the nose of the corner bead.
Hello. Rapid Set Cement All can be applied from 0-4" thick to repair holes in your garage floor. This product reaches structural strength in one hour allowing you to drive over the repairs in 60 minutes.
Hi Don. You can use the Rapid Set SET Control additive to slow down the set time of the Rapid Set Mortar Mix. Each packet of SET Control gives you 15-20 minutes additional working time. Up to 4 packets of SET Control can be added per 55 lbs of material. Please let us know if you have further questions so we can assist.
Hi Mike. Rapid Set Waterproofing Mortar does not cause crystallization in concrete. This material is a high performance, polymer modified cement coating. It is a hydraulic cement based product and can be exposed to hydrostatic pressure in 3-5 days.
Hi Matt. Rapid Set Waterproofing Mortar can be used to seal a concrete water fountain. Make sure to follow the two-coat application process to ensure the fountain is completely sealed off for moisture penetration. Thank you.
Can I do it by myself with minimal tools? got a pool of water every time it rains on the drive way. about the size of 4 costco pizzas. 1 bag and 5 qt of primer would do the job right? i got a push broom, old paint stuff, and american toughness.
We are trying to buy Rapid Set 9.0 oz. Fast Anchoring and Repair Adhesive in Gray but Home Depot said it doesn't come with the mixing nozzles and they don't know where to get them. Why would they sell this product with out the nozzles? Does anyone know where you would buy this or have a phone number for the company?
Hello. The Rapid Set Fast Anchoring and Repair Adhesive do come with 2 nozzles on each tube. If there are any concerns, please contact the Home Depot Store Manager so they can get you the proper tube or order some with the nozzles. Thank you.
@@CTSRapidSet I have contacted 2 different Home Depots and I told them it is supposed to come with 2. They said if it isn't pictured with them on there web site then it doesn't come with then. I will call again and ask for a manager.
@@upnorthyooper1196, please email us at info@ctscement.com with the city and state that you're located in. Our local representative will help resolve this for you with their Home Depot contact. Apologies for the experience you've had. Thank you.
@@CTSRapidSet I called the store nearest and asked to speak to the manager, he checked on it and said they do have 2 nozzles with them. So it must have been a lazy employee that didn't actually check, he would take care of that also. Thanks for your help. PS, they might change the picture on there web site to include the nozzles.
In another video, a CTS Rapid Set employee says you can use more water than the 4-1 ratio for thinner applications, that would make it more fluid. Question is = Does that make it any weaker once it sets? Has anyone tried this? I've used this Mortar Mix once and kept to the 4-1 ratio because I thought adding more water would make it weaker. Anyone know?
Hello Master Spade. You definitely don't want to add more water than what is recommended under the instructions on the bag. If you need more fluidity, you would want to use Rapid Set FLOW Control. Please contact info@ctscement.com if you have further questions. Thank you.
