Hah! Näköjään mun vanha Monaco. Ostin tuon silputtuna joskus 1997... jos oikein muistan. Mulla on vielä pari kuvaakin kun auto oli vielä osina. 😄 En osannut juurikaan hitsata kun ostin projektin ja sen kyllä varmasti näki kun olin liimaillut lattiaa ja tulipeltiä kasaan. 😂
No perhana 😁👍 ite ostin sen noin 2008, kokonaisena mutta hyvin laulettuna ja sinisen värisenä. Ja joo, oli siellä vähän kyseenalaisia ratkaisuja, mutta olin ite niin nuori silloin myös että tuli itsekin tehtyä niitä...nyt sitten korjailen niitä pois 😅
@@alexandergronberg87 Auto oli tosiaan silputtu etenkin lattian ja tulipellin osalta melko surutta kun ostin sen. Mä olin toki jo 10 vuotta omistanut Jenkin mutta hitsaus oli jäänyt opettelematta vaikka V8 ja automaatit olikin hyvin jo hallussa. Mun vanhin poika kuoli 97 keväällä ja tarvitsin jotain mihin surun purkaa ja siksi ostin projektin. Kaikki läheiset vihasi tuota autoa ja lopulta oli pakko myydä pois. Lämmittää sydäntä kyllä paljon kun auto on vielä olemassa. 97 se oli siinä kunnossa että monet oli sitä mieltä ettei sitä kannata enää kursia kasaan mutta mä olin erimieltä. Hienoa kun Monaco elää vielä. Tuon myyminen on ainoa asia mitä olen koskaan katunut. 🤷🏻♂️😄
@@jannekotisalo otan osaa menetykseesi, mutta olen kiitollinen ettet kuunnellut lähipiiriäsi. Auto on tuonut suurta iloa ja nautintoa meille, on perheenjäsen. Nuorempana meininki oli villiä, nyt vaan ruisaillaan nauttien. 10 vuotiaana isoisä näytti elokuvan, ja silloin päätin että joskus mulla on 74 Monaco. 21 vuotiaana kun tuo tuli myyntiin marssin pankkiin ja otin 3500e lainan, ja ostin auton tinkimättä. Tällä hetkellä olen penkkejä verhoilemassa uusiksi, moottorin rakennan kokonaan uudestaan, verhoilua siistin ja niitä kaikkia nuoruuden "fiksuja" juttuja korjaan/poistelen autosta.
Just love that idle please bring these days back 😞 I don’t want electric cars - and I’m speaking from someone who was born in 92 - I’m thinking of buying me a 440 long block and finding some old late 70s to early 80s Plymouth sedan or dodge - anything I can drop it in - if I’m lucky enough to find one and just roll with that. The newer cars we have now are amazing but not as exciting and cost a mortgage to drive every month
I hope you will find your engine and car! yeah it's really something else to drive these cars, compared to the stuff the car companies produce these days
@@alexandergronberg87 of course!! A n old heavy sedan with steel on both ends and having it as a project in my garage on the weekends beats owning any sort of hellcat - some of these young punks were shocked when a 93 all motor fox body smoked a hellcat challenger 😂😂
Just a backfire, due to bad timing and cold engine, and a bad ground to the starter and low voltage in the battery caused that i could not start anymore. All of the issues are solved nowdays. Thanks for watching
Sick car man!!! That engine sounds beastly. 440 is the best motor and scariest of any car ride i've taken. Speaking of crappy gas? Is there an additive or way around that for the engines to run better?
Thanks man. Yeah it's a nice engine. Now i am rebuilding it, new cam, lifters and valvetrain. Should sound even better, and some more power. Regarding additives, there is all kinds of additives for sale, but my opinion is that the best one is just to have fresh gas in the tank :)
I've got to get some of that energy drink. Man, you got a lot done there. Inside is looking better. That paint worked good. Like the new tach. Hopefully when you get the parts, it'll smooth out. It's a pretty nice truck and the frame looks good. Best to ya.
Heh, thanks🤣😅 I actually already traded it away, so never got to get it properly running. It had a bad case of TBI problems, my solution would have been a carb swap and independent ignition. But it was a nice truck👍 Now i have a very different kind of truck: a -82 volvo F610 towtruck! I've been thinking about that should i make some video about it.

Yeah its the same model and year. But not a replica, more like a tribute. I live in Finland! For the moment i'm rebuilding the engine, and making a lot of small and big changes to the car. I hope i find some filming inspiration at some point again.

When this video was made I had Turbosmart Kompact Shortie and Sico-Develpments Stage 3 Full induction kit. After this I installed Airtecs Stage 2 Front mount intercooler upgrade, turbo hard pipe and milteks downpipe with hi flow sport cat and cat back exhaust system.
