A Motorcycle adventure to the top of Alaska. 4 friends getting ready to leave from Cape May, NJ and riding to the Dalton Highway, reaching the Artic Ocean in Deadhorse, Alaska. We will then travel south to Homer to touch the Pacific Ocean.
I’m sure going to miss the beautiful videos!.. we got to live & see & experience this trip through your eyes. All of you should be proud of your adventure & accomplishments & more importantly, crossing the finish line & coming home to your families, friends & loved ones ❤🎉.
Awesome trip. Glad you guys made it home safe. Trip of a lifetime. Certainly filled up the memories. Love the scenery and independence of the ride. 13,200 miles is driving from Eastern PA to Western Iowa... 10 times! You mentioned lack of rain... once past eastern S Dakota and Nebraska rainfall drops significantly, it turns into dry cattle country. You mentioned the people... once past the Mississippi it's normal to have conversations with people at gas pumps. You mentioned the return drive into PA. Janice n I had an expression, "Welcome to PA" as someone nearly crashed into us. Sometimes we could make it as far as Harrisburg without idiots. Don't get me wrong, we know thee best people in PA, but driving is notably dangerous there. Nothing beats driving hundreds of miles to be welcomed in a friend's or family's drive. Figured Marty knew someone in Cleveland. So cool that, Sarg, Sarg and Lt were able to escort you guys home. Awesome adventure. You the mens. Happy for you guys.
Hung on every word, Jim. Really lived vicaruiously through you on this journey. Once in a lifetime, you are so lucky to have done it. Someday I hope to do something similar.
Great coverage. I will be riding from Riverside, Ca to Deadhorse, Ak starting Aug 4, 2024. I will be with a friend. I am on a 2007 KLR 650 and he is on a 2018 Africa Twin
Jim -- I was really hoping you would have told the story about the last time you came across the Canadian-US border, and your co-pilot hadn't thought that anything would be required because "we were from there." Allentown Airport and $60 later we were allowed to come home. 3/8/2000 - 4.9 hours logged!
Great adventure... been wondering where you guys were. Thanks for the update. Beautiful scenery. Nice how living becomes so simplified, while the rest of the world harries with it's business. Enjoy the ride.
I have a friend who lives at that lodge, and works up there. I also follow him on RU-vid. The winters are unimaginable. By the way, I’m watching this on July 5 and it’s 123° here in Parker Strip, Arizona.
Congrats on reaching the Artic. Les Stroud said it well that "nature is indifferent", be it rain, dust, fire or lightning. Be safe and don't push your limits, you all have the T-shirt. Happy for you guys. Keep us in mind in return. Always welcome.
Great memories that will last you a lifetime. July 4 2013 I was dancing in the arctic ocean, Prudhoe bay. Great trip from Key West to Alaska on a WeeStrom... Worst weather was in Iowa!! Tornado..
Great adventure. Thanks for the update. Keep riding n posting. Once you're cross the Mississippi, it's normal to talk to the other guy at the gas pumps.
Great foot cam view in the beginning. Don't think I would like those dirt roads, but it definitely makes for a well-rounded ride. Looking forward to viewing the videos of the wild tundra and off roads as you get to the Arctic Circle.
That’s one thing I like about full-time RVing, these past five years. Meet so many different people, and their stories. Although we don’t travel east of the Mississippi, the best people in the world are in the western states. Also, we don’t go to California either.
