From a social psychological perspective, this song was the start of a massive shift in musical lyrics. Of course the rave music compounded the change. Let me explain, as a 19 year old I went to the coolest club in my city. There was a woman dancing by herself in the coolest outfit I had ever seen, a very thick bra, trousers and a hat with a peak over her left eye. She was a brilliant dancer. I noticed the whole night she was on her own. When she left the club she got into her own car and drove home. I thought the lyrics of this song which was played 3 times suited her, because they were all about the self. The songs of I want you to love me rather than what songs were always about loving the other. Watching that woman coupled with the music at the time both exhilarated and frightened me. I sensed we were going in an unhealthy direction of self love, self focus. And look at where we are now.
Um obra prima do sampler e da música moderna, além de ter dançado muito essas músicas pelad danceterias de São Paulo no final dos 80' e início dos 90's
I bought this ablum out of a bargin bin at John Menzies in a small Scottish town(Pitlochry) in the middle of nowhere in about '92, to this day it ranks as my fav albums of all time. I remember buying it at least 3 times on tape and at least twice on CD. Still sounds fresh to me

I used to hear this a lot at the various jungle jams in the Que club Birmingham 94 and the system they had in there was just offensive... I've seen some buster's but my gosh these bass lines used to lift up your arse and feet up if you wanted to dance or not ha...
