Outstanding weekends events coverage and we all thank you for this Ryan. As you had said that it was too bad that the rains came and did they ever which resulted in the Street car race getting cancelled due to rain. Man there were some beautiful cars in the car show that you provided coverage for.. I really like the way the event co ordinaters grouped all the Fords, GMs, Mopars, Street rods , MG's , etc together. Again thanks for your efforts in covering this event and your coverage of Miles of Manheim ... Jim Bell

Thanks! They did a few rounds the day before. We were informed that there would be no racing on Sunday so we took off. However I believe they did end up running Sunday so unfortunately we missed out... next year.
Some very, very cool drag racing. Used to bracket race back in the 70s. Whole different kind of racing from class racing. Looks like everyone had a good time. Love the '68 Mustang fastback. Beautiful looking car. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
@@780SpeedCustom '67 Chevelle, 396 .040 over, 4-speed with a 3.73 rear-end. Bought it in spring of '73 at 18. Rebuilt the motor 4 days after I bought it when I changed the oil/tar, replaced the clutch, then had to replace a blown tranny behind a fresh motor and clutch, then finally the rear-end when it tried to keep up to a stout drivetrain in front of it. That all happened the first summer I owned it. Had it all done by mid-Sept. Drove it all summer the following year then sold it to get money for college.

Its called exhasust pressure at the valve exit and if high enough and hot enough it will melt welds and crumble aluminum if not treated or coated the right way
I believe there is a company that makes a glass hood, a few that make fenders. But steel parts are hard to find. I had another parts truck I have since sold. Regret doing that hah.
Ceramic coated yea. Probably still going to have to wrap them though. The engine bay is so tight heat is a major problem. Melts the loom off wires etc.
@@780SpeedCustom Ceramic coating inside and out will be the ticket. You won't need to wrap them once they are coated. Talk to Larry Carlson at Top Gun Coatings in Calgary, they'll hook you up.

Awesome job on your video coverage and commentary really made watching this years event a lot of fun . I know its a huge undertaking to do the editing and get your vids posted every day.. Well done and much appreciated by everyone You monster burn out out in the middle of nowhere with some other competitors was a fun and smoky and enjoyed by the audience. Congrats on finishing the event. There was no way you could have patched that large gap that you had in your exhaust system ; so it was a good decision to just keep on trucking.

Drove a Valiant like that green one. Was my Mom's car when I first got my license. Beige 4-door sedan with 225 slant six. That little slant six was bullet-proof!! But it never, ever moved like this gren one does....OMG. Great to see the drag-racing again. The truck seems to be doing really well. One more day to go. Hopefully the cracked header is not a problem. Guess the smoky/hazy air is becoming a summer norm out there. Look forward to seeing Day 5. Be safe and stay well.
Looked like a great day 2. The shenanigans in the parking lot are always better then the actual racing. DON'T think the issue was the nitrous not helping. Think it was the extra load of the bottle holder!! The camera person seems to be having more fun then any one else. Look forward o watching Day 3. Be safe and stay well.
