Altered daily living brings you videos of DIY Van projects. We have been on a journey of healthy living. I would like to bring you cooking videos, along with interesting daily vlogs. I also have retinitis pigmentosa which is a rare eye condition that is taking my eye sight. I would like to take you on my personal altered journey. I hope you enjoy the videos. I appreciate your support and checking this channel out.
Absolutely wonderful! I have watched countless videos thinking I would get my solution and everybody wants to show me the exact same thing which doesn’t apply to me. Thank you so much.
Hi, 👋 I have this same "OVEN" , stove, grill, which can be raised off of the ground and sat upon a circle of large stones or over a dual fire hole. Don't insert the so called ash tray. Now you can use the oven and place either the ash tray or grill on top to cook other things simultaneously. I like using a few charcoals for a longer burn outside or maybe a sterno if I'm in my tent. This oven can also be used as a fireplace when used with other attachments.
Its a 20 Amp Charge controller by the way ;-) Just ordered mine from Renogy, its on the way. Not crazy about the voyager pwm, may upgrade it to a 20 amp Victron MPPT. Although I do like the weather proof of the renogy voyager. I may just try it out for a season before upgrading the charge controller. I would have to keep the Victron out of the weather. I picked up 20 feet renogy extension 10 awg cable with the order.
My blue rhino tank valve will not turn. You can wiggle it a tiny bit to the left and right, but that's it. I released the pressure like in your video, but the valve still won't turn on. Any suggestions? Does that mean it's empty?
Propane can really get gummed up under certain condiitons. Don't let your pressurized hose be in the sun or get hot, the propane turns to goop. Turn the tank off first and burn off the contents of the hose to prevent issues. You can blitz clean your hose by using something like a small hex key to poke down the check valve and clear the goop if goop is already present. That same goop will ruin your pressure valve and that is not as easy to clear: buy a new pressure regulator bummer is yours.
Beautiful Detailed Presentation. Thank you 🙏 Brother. I just ordered 2 of these. Much better than all the cloth portable panels. IMO. Buy one ☝️ time for a lifetime. 🍻
IDEA : Some people make a metal stand over the heat and place quiet woodstove fans on it. I use these whisper quiet wood stove fans on my gas fireplace shelf top.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Never use Teflon tape on FLARE FITTINGS. Sorry, but it doesn't take long to search a little to see this is a no-no. The FLARE FITTING is a sufficient seal, with appropriate torque.
That is not a pressure relief valve. That is actually connected to a dip tube known as a spitter. It is used in filling tanks. When the tank is roughly 80 percent full propane liquid will come out an opening 90 degrees in front of the screw.
I will probably forget to get back to ya but hopefully this works, I tried different things but not the little valve thing. thanks to you and two other content creators whom gave this advise .. just tree guy looking to make a home repair ..
Thanks for the tip. I loosen the screw to release and then tighten it back up. Did this in combination to cleaning the Mr. Heater flame outlet orifice to get it working again.
The tank is a closed system. Going over a pass which changes the atmospheric pressure OUTSIDE the tank will have ZERO effect on the propane tank pressure INSIDE the tank. Temperature is the only variable that will affect the vapor pressure of the propane in the head space of the tank. Higher temperatures will increase the propane vapor pressure inside the tank.
I can't get mine to light. I do not have the elbow but the hose fits on the attachment perfectly. I have not used the tape yet. I am just trying to test it and get it lit and its not working at all
Great stuff mate and thanks for the tips. I plan to use this for wild camps when Im taking a vehicle. If Im taking a vehicle I will be taking a skillet. Now Im just looking around my apartment, clutching a pair of tin snips, trying to find something to make two notched pot raisers with haha.
And, if open tank valve too quick and pressure drops too fast for too long (like if hose is long or burners are alrrady open) a ball bearing is forced by flow into tank valve and stays thus dropping flow to a trickle. Closse of all and wait and then open tank slow w burner closed... i was stumped like an idiot till i realized yes i kept dropping the pressur too fast and tank ball bearing was jamming into valve and it sticks til its unstuck... So this is often the damn problem till realize this issue and avoid it!!!
Blue Van Dan use to use a little buddy heater and usually just the pilot light on was enough to keep it warm. Seems like a wave 3 is too much heat for a Van. Does it have a thermostat built in?
That is a bleeder screw it will spray liquid propane out when your tank is 80% full that's what it's for it only should be opened when tank is being filled I am a propane tech and work with it every day
The two wrenches is to back up what you are tightening so you don’t tighten it to tight into the heater, also I don’t use Teflon tape when the seal point is other than the threads like flared fittings
Thank you so much for your video. I was in the mountains and my propane stopped working and therefore I couldn’t use my fridge or stove or furnace. Once I released the pressure, it worked again!! I’m so grateful!! Thanks again!!
