We left the city and moved into... a forest! 🧑🏻🌾 Here we share the adventures as we co-exist with wild animals that come through our little slice of paradise. We have a 24/7 wild animal cam. We get deer, wild turkeys, lots of squirrels, skunks, raccoons, other birds. We're in Southern Oregon, so we're waiting for Bigfoot to appear. Fingers crossed! 🤣
I am looking at doing a 24/7 livestream of wood duck boxes and habitat for local educators in our county. But the habitat/boxes are just over 1100 feet from the nearest power/wifi. Any suggestions?
That is a very long run. You can use a POE extender, probably three or four of them. Even cat 6E cable maxes out at about 328 feet. You can also run power all the way out there to a Starlink.
Thank you :) she has been here since we found this property just 3 years ago. She's bought us fawns every year. Last year a set of twins. We are still missing her in the Forest.
Cost as in do we have cost associated with live stream or revenue ? Revune is so minor this month we are looking at receiving $50 from RU-vid We spent an average in the winter of $75 per week in feed. In the off months we spent less because we spend time getting ground fruits and collect from other farms. We are not making $ on this channel. We have a higher speed internet (we are in the middle of the forest) they've been working all winter to get some underground lines to our area. We are a satellite hiked high in a tree which we pay a premium for and the cost of equipment .
