I know this was 5yrs ago but i had a similar experience w the bp thing. Someone freaked me out then at the er the doc said same as yours. I hope you're doing well.
Seriously…nodding my head throughout all of your video. Almost exact same story. And yes..be your own health advocate. They are not going to work very hard to help you. You have to research for yourself, keep pushing for tests. Everything I ended up being diagnosed with was me asking for the test, which means I never would have got the help I desperately needed if it wasn’t for Dr. Google. They never brought things up, I did because I researched and read a lot. That is vile. What am I paying them for?! Also never just go with any suggested treatments willy nilly- research first. They wanted to remove my uterus because of a tiny blood clot because the blood thinner medication I was taking for it was causing heavy periods that was causing extreme anemia. I asked them, can’t we just check to see if the tiny blood clot is gone now and just stop taking the blood thinner? That seems like less invasive intelligent healthy thing to do. But they said they can’t because of ‘’protocol’’… too risky I guess. Even with that, why not instead switch blood thinners to see if my periods got better, but noooo….they go right to : let’s remove your whole uterus. !!! That’s extreme. And it’s frightening they didn’t seem to want to work around the situation. I guess their hands were tied because of protocol. Anyway, I told them no. I got very close to needing a blood transfusion, but the iron infusions helped raise my hemoglobin a little. Ironically (no pun intended) the iron infusions made my ferritin levels worse. !!?? It makes me very disappointed with modern medical science that they don’t really understand women’s cycles and do not have other medications to avoid issues specifically due to menstruation. I heard that when they test drugs they don’t use women because we are so varied in response because of our cycles. That is just so wrong. You do good with this video. Hope you are well now.
You probably already know this by now, but cod is one of the fish with the most amount of iodine. Cod and haddock are foods I eat to raise my iodine levels. Haddock per 120g has 390 mcg of iodine. Cod per 120g has 230mcg of iodine.
You’re lucky! You could have died with levels of 0. I’ve recently found out I’m low on ferritin/iron. Found this out with NO help from the “doctors”. At this point, the whole medical establishment needs to be burnt down and rebuilt. It’s useless. A lot of us are out here self-diagnosing through RU-vid, it’s crazy- yet we aren’t getting paid 200k/year like a doctor, yet I’m diagnosing myself. What a mess! Pray to Jesus that this all gets fixed!! Every time a doctor drops the ball, a portion of his paycheck needs to go to the patient that he failed 🙄 Maybe that’ll smarten them up….
The 'Timed-Release' capsule of Propranolol (Inderal) is a good choice for some. You take ONE small capsule of it each day (or night if preferred to help with sleep) and then don't think about it again for another 24 hours. Simple dosage and it lasts all day with its Beta-blocking effect.
Yess please! I feel like relate most to you, your food choices and your journey! Please help! I loved your 3000 calorie in a day video. I need some more inspiration and guidance
you might want to test for a parasite (i had low iron and ferritin for this reason).. and food sensitivity (gluten can cause inflammation and negatively impact the thyroid hormone/function. glad you’re improving! can’t believe you were at 0! they intentionally make the ranges broad so they can say you are normal and get you in a diseased state where you make them more $ (medical industrial complex) the doctors are shills some know but most may not know that it’s the admins and insurance pulling the strings. i had to locate a naturopathic doctor to help - by this time i was underweight and desperate. i paid her directly- no insurance or admins. she sat with me for 2 hours (i only paid for 1), she ACTUALLY LISTENED to me - no god complex 🙏🏽. she said i know my baseline/body better than anyone else and based on my history and symptoms she ordered a gmap and full panel of blood work. once she identities the parasite she prescribed a parasite herb through full script and a gut rebalancing enzyme / herbal supplement. afterwards she ordered 4 iron infusions (my ferritin level was 8) i have done 2 so far and felt like I was resurrected from the dead 😂
I was just prescribed this med at 10 mg. My dr. Told me to take 20 at night to help with sleep. I just took 2 and I’m SO SCARED. Did u sleep well? Also, from the 5 mg u take a day, does it last through the day for you?
You may have an electrolyte imbalance...Magnesium for palpitations....believe it or not, but magnesium can lower the release of adrenaline and noradrenaline...so not much different than what propanolol does....it is also a muscle relaxant and aids restful sleep. I think your father's untimely death has given you health anxiety, coupled with the loss you are coming to terms with. You mentioned thyroid and that certainly is linked to palps...
I take 50mg Metoprolol, it helps very good with anxiety /panic, but less with lowering BP, and i think Metoprolol has less possible side effects then Propranolol
I'm vegetarian and tried to go vegan, I couldn't move off of the sofa for a week. I don't know how some people manage it. I'm still vegetarian & eat a lot of Quorn foods, veggies etc. Beetroot juice, fortified cereals, nuts, spinach are great for boosting iron. Avoid tea/coffee cause of Tannnis - they stop iron from absorbing properly. Always take a vit c drink or tablet with the iron for better absorbtion. I love your channel & you're so kind to share your story to help others 💖
I'm starting to accept that vegan just doesn't work for me. I'm sad about it, but I have to do what's best for my health. I'm glad that you made the best decision for you!
Oh my goodness!!!!!! This is so me! Born with hypothyroidism but I developed a goiter and they removed my thyroid in 2021! That was 18 months after my last son. I just went back and looked at labs and I was very low iron when I was pregnant in 2015 and they never checked it in 2017 during my last pregnancy! I’m so so so frustrated and relieved at the same time. Ferritin was 17. I have it up to 42 with Heme iron.
@Kaylaberry7983 How are you feeling now? Where did you get Heme Iron from if you don't mind me asking I am also ferritin level17 I feel tried all the time head hurts all the time. Terrible anxiety and depression bad insomnia Need help .
They need to change the system the protocol cuz they keep going off of o your hemoglobin level is normal oh your ferritin level is normal but they need to go off of the patient's symptoms and they don't do that they still going off the same thing for years and years has come and women us women we've been suffering with it for years because they blame it on other stuff saying the stairs is that when it's really your iron level but it's causing over all other symptoms that's going on with you but they keep on going off of Old maybe you're depressed have you got some sleep maybe you just have his or maybe you just you know going through something and it's sad that we got to go out and just go get help on our own because they don't want
Thank you!! I didn’t realize how much my ferritin levels were affecting me until you started talking about your anxiety. I really thought it was my thyroid like you did. I may speak with my doctor about getting a iron infusion now. Thank you for speaking about this! This anxiety is no joke.
OMG! I'm so happy that this helped!! Hopefully things get better for you soon! Also, look into Floradix as an iron supplement. It works really well. For me, the thyroid still plays a part because it causes me to menstruate more often, which in turn wipes out my iron. So definitely stay on top of your thyroid as well. Best of luck!
Same thing with me…my sister suggested maybe my thyroid medication needed adjustment. I actually stopped taking it for awhile. It didn’t help. Everyone was saying, ‘’it’s just anxiety and panic attacks’’ and I kept fighting with them trying to tell them I know myself and my body and that none of the breathing and cognitive stuff nor their ‘’medication’’ was helping. The anxiety was off the charts and would start with ANY exertion or activity. I’d feel like I was having a heart attack-extreme pressure in the chest. I even went to 2 cardiologists -I couldn’t believe the first one told me my heart was very healthy. I could hardly walk anywhere without breathing hard and having to stop and rest. This iron deficiency anemia and all of its symptoms are NO joke!
@@sonofhibbs4425 same here my ferritin is very low (4) I experienced horrible symptoms: my heart is racing ,heavy sweating, restless leg syndrome , my hair& nails are almost destroyed! My neighbour saw me struggling with the stairs& I almost fainted for that minimum effort ( God I felt so embarrassed )... Stairs are never a good idea for an anemic pacient ... I feel so exhausted! I just hope after the iron pills my heart rate will adjust... One week on treatment can't see any results
This makes so much sense! I’ve been floxed and took every possible tablet out there except iron I took a ferrimed supplement and started feeling a change after two weeks.. hoping it’s the end of this roller coaster
@@Keenamashawn may I ask you, what type of iron infusion did you get…injectifer? Venafer? I hope that’s not too personal to share. My doctor gives me the choice. I don’t know which may be better.
I ordered the healthy glow body scrub and healthy glow body wash waiting on those items now and I will be going back for the healthy glow oil and whipped soap..
I want to buy and use the turmeric Soap bar on my face but I’m so scared of that because my Face Is very sensitive, certain creams and cleansers/soaps burn easily on my face, I would need to buy the bar soap and do a patch test a few times..
