For your husbands sweater I would recommend using a 48” cable and magic looping it. That would be much easier on your hands. Good job on the sweaters though! You are quick!!
I love the flax sweaters! I made them for my best friend's twins for Christmas one year. I pick up extra stitches on the arms and then knit one round and then decrease them out on the next round.
To prevent the holes under the arms, you can pick up the two extra stitches - so in your example you’d pick up 8 instead of 6 (one on either side of the 6 new ones). Then you decrease them both on the very next round to close up that hole. No extra math for decreasing them later is necessary. Tash from the channel Mostly Knitting has a wonderful tutorial that helped me when I made my first sweater. It’s titled “Picking up stitches for a sleeve in a top down sweater.” She shows you how to decide exactly where that extra stitch should go to prevent the holes.
Love the vest. Can’t wait to see it finished. When traveling, yarn purchases don’t count. Just like calories don’t count. 😂😂 I also just bought some cascade alpaca on my last trip. Though I don’t think it’s the eco version. Mine is sport weight. No idea what I’m going to make with it. Love all 3 of my bags. I'm currently working on a granny square blanket... i haven't worked on it in a while, but I have been getting back into making the Sunburst granny squares and I don't know why I ever stopped.

I am working on some vanilla socks, a baby blanket, dish towel, fair isle mittens and started some adventure mittens. Have issues with sticking to one project 🤣
Congratulations on your subscribers milestone! 🎉 I have six pairs of socks on needles and would love a new project bag to house one pair. 5 are fingering weight and one worsted work socks. I use DPNs, magic loop, 2 16” circulars, 9” circulars. DPNs are my favourite method. Gift knitting for family.
Congratulations on 300!!! I’m working on a Twofer Tank. It’s a bit ambitious for me. I have never made a garment with a pattern only. I’ve followed a RU-vid tutorial for a simple sweater. Stepping out of my comfort zone
