A cat lady at heart, I have naturally ended up cutting my parenting teeth on three rodents considerably further down the food chain. My short attention span causes me to buy a new crappy old car every few months, and then spend weeks trying in vain to make it not crappy. Rinse and repeat. Also, avocados and mayonnaise are the staples of a healthy diet.

Hello from France ! Got my grandma's Picanto from 2007 as a gift recently. Everyone is scared by the engine's noise 😂 I find it quite funny. Especially when people on the pavement are like "what is that sound ? What mighty engine do we hear approaching ?" Then, they turn around and witness the Great Picanto, in all its glory, going as fast as a toddler on his tricyle. 😂🎉
(Me sitting in my 1997 Toyota Camry wondering why they don't look anything alike... umm.. I think someone's lieing about their car model and its not me lol)
I found a $500 2007 Picanto while looking for a cheap sh!tbox of a car to mess around with and make it something it’s not meant to be. Will the Picanto handle “slight” engine modifications? Also, is it rear wheel drive?
I love this car 😍 had it for 5 years as my first car, then got married and gave it to my mom and got a new car, but I still miss this one 😥 then my mom crashed and dented her 😭
@@tanakabento1710 for me driving uphill, we need to have a good start, so you can keep a little distance with the car in front of you, and a combination between 3rd and 2nd gear, but if its fully stop in uphill, 1st and 2nd gear combination.. Picanto is small size engine car, so we must keep the momentum of the gear shifting..i drove my wife picanto numerous time through uphill area..
Hi, im from colombia, i have the 2008 model, i was wondering if i can hack or do any mod to the ecu haha idk, i like this car, is simple, but it has a good perfomance up today
I just got the V6 automatic model. It looked like it went to Vietnam and back twice but the engine was well maintained so no leaks and drives like a champ. I'm not a fan of the style so I may throw on a body kit. 😂😂😂
Nice one, the V6 gives it a good bit of grunt! I love that sleek body line, but I wish we had a coupé models here. Watch those curbs when angle parking if you go low with a body kit, I found the front jacking point tends to hits the concrete :D
Great video, I'm here to support, I just hit the red button for ya & ring Bell, Big thumbs up, full view.Hope you will support my channel as well. Let's stay connected. Thank you
I have a 1997 Toyota Camry with over 304,000 miles on it's original engine. All I've replaced in the three years I've owned it has been a timing belt and seals, tires, alternator, plugs/wires and oil pressure sensor. It doesn't burn oil though it leaks a bit and has passed the Texas safety and emissions testing without the need for bribery LOL. Everything works, power windows, locks, cruise control, even the air conditioning, a must have in far west Texas LOL All it really needs right now is some suspension work. The rear trunk release broke but I really don't need that fixed. I can just use the key LOL.
Thanks for watching the video, and great to hear from another Camry fan! They really are reliable, those 5S-FE engines are just awesome. I believe manual gearbox swaps are possible too, if you've got the auto ;D My boot lock was a problem on my car, it needed a few zip-ties to fix it up. I was also struggling with oil leaks! Check the distributor seal (o-ring, plus an internal seal), as well as the valve cover :) Enjoy your cruiser, sounds like you've got one in better nick than mine!
Two Cynics LOL my front license plate is secured with zip ties. It was originally titled in a state that didn't require a front license plate so a proper bracket was never installed.
The US market Camry only offered a manual transmission in the base CE model. Mine is a mid range LE. It and the top of the line XLE only offered the automatic. Years ago I saw a 1997 CE with both a manual and the V6 option. I think if the car dealer had realized how rare that combination was he'd have asked for more money. Wish I had been able to buy it. I'd love to find a 2007-11 model with a stick shift.
I don't think we got V6's with manuals at all in NZ, that's awesome! The manuals only came on the 2.2s, ours were all built new in Australia. Big engines with manuals are exciting, reminds me of the 2.4L Audi A4 I had for a while. Zip ties are a completely legitimate method of attaching something to a car, I'm guessing Spacex use them in their rockets too ;)
