Wow, great driving! Question for you - I too have a 718 GT4 and took it to Laguna a couple of weeks ago. In the later sessions, under hard braking on the entry to turns 11 and 2, the car refused to downshift from 3 to 2. It felt like the shifter was physically blocking the downshift. Have you experienced anything like that at all? It was fine in the earlier sessions and I had no issues the last time I drove at Laguna just a month ago. Also, as soon as I got off the track, the downshifts started working again with complete authority. I read some forum posts that suggest a load on the transmission might cause the gates to move, but I can't seem to replicate it on the streets.
Thanks! Sounds odd, I never experienced that issue even when running full 20 min sessions. Perhaps ask your dealer or service center to see if they can take a look?
@@edwordsigh I'm glad you mentioned the OEM brake fluid. I was contemplating do my first track day in the 4RS all stock but I think I will at least get Endless fluid and a track alignment done first.
Thanks! A052s are wonderfully sticky. I think they’re better suited for autocross but work fine on track as well. They require very little warm up. You’ll get your best times by lap 3 and then they start falling off. Give them a shot!
