I love how at 6:45 in the video you can hear that big sucker strip line before you even get to set the hook.

I tried it this year I had to put a paint job on it. I got the clear and dipped it in chartreuse dye, put a black back with trout spots and smoked'em.

pros: over price cons: over price 200 to 300 kayak Walmart can do the same.

Its so awesome when I find channels from my home town! I visit Corpus as often as I can. when I was a kid only the old men using these lures because I could never afford them lol. I am addicted to flat baits but these are so fun to use because of all the varieties. Really nice to meet you and your channel.

What rod, length& action are you using?

When you are fishing and the trout get Lock Jawed, and I know we have all experienced this, you have to have a plan! That plan should include SCENT!! Scent will elicit a strike even when the fish are not feeding. The trick, finding the right scent!

Keep your rod down and sideways after hook set, they stay on better with the head shakes. Works for me, give it a try.

What reel and rod were using

So I'm definitely no expert, but I witnessed first hand with PB's, Corky's and mirrolures that a complete slack line after your pop, pop, stop, increases the bite by 10x's. I was taught buy a buddy to slow reel after the Pop's to feel the bite, met a guide years later who complete slack lined after his 'pop's', explained how the baits wobble vertically as they sink on a slack line and you'll still feel the bite. My bite rate went up exponentially. Especially in late fall and winter

is that Galveston Causeway area? thought I saw it in the background. I fish out there a lot. Lots of great spots in and around there plus close to any store or restaurant you might possibly need on the island. Versus say going down to Bryan Beach and being far away from any store. Which I still certainly like Bryan Beach too!

i’ve used corkies in the summer too and caught stuff. Well… ok the one corky that I currently own at least. Like, fire pink and charteuse, can’t remember the specific nickname for it. Planning to buy more though!

Love the video,last yr fishing at Port Isabel tx and left my cookies at home,went to Walmart and bought 3 off brand style cookies and limited out on both days,my 2 biggest trout were a 7.6 and a 6.4 pds,so i don't believe it really makes a difference, as long as they eat it
