Love watching your videos. You give such detailed instructions, along with such great ideas and inspiration. This cinch is definitely one I will get in the future. Thank you. 🙂
how exciting! :) so the AZ Mega Make & Take has a link - scrapbookexpo.com/2024-expo-show-list/az-24/mega-make-take-az24/ click on each contributor's drop down and it gives you a list of supplies it recommends you to bring. Main tools, bone folder, glue of choice (liquid, double sided tap, foam dots, etc.) some ink (at least a black), stamping block (small) usually any free stamps are small, pokey tool or tweezers to pick/position items to adhere, baby wipes, paper cutter (extra blade, just in case), pen/pencil to write stuff down/take notes/turn in papers for freebies given out, scissors of choice, usually fussy cutting, snacks (drink, chocolate, chips, etc) vending machines are pricy, sweater as it usually gets cold through out the night, and whatever else you forgot or didn't know to bring, i'm sure your new friends/table mates will be happy to share :) Have a great time!
Everything is adorable! You were my gateway into 3 Craft Chicks 😅 I didn’t get this one cause I was trying to be good but now I definitely have a bit of FOMO! 💕
Love this and really enjoyed watching you create this journal. I’ve learned so much from your videos and can’t wait to try making one of my own. Your Christmas journal turned out beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️🙏🏻🙂
Thank you so much! I looked everywhere and couldnt find any info on if you should mirror one side and not the other, so thank you! I've only done one so far and it didn't occur to me until i was about to press the 2nd side. Well, the first one was for me anyway since I figured it was going to be my practice one.
I’m really enjoying watching you make this journal. Just a question? You said you cut the pages at 5/8’s of an inch, but that is more than a half inch, and then you cut more , which is even more than 5/8s, so are you actually cutting off 3/4’s of an inch? Just want to make sure what they should be cut at. Thank you.
So sorry for the confusion....it should be 3/8th of an inch, not 5/8th of an inch, as the width of the edge to the crease of the book, which i think is 1/2 an inch. You really just want to have a small, maybe 1/8th of an inch, space to add your glue to reseal the pages together. If for some reason the pages are still to wide, then you can shave another 1/8th of an inch on the right side of the page (edge of the book page). But the main bulk of your cut should be the left side of the page, where the crease is, to avoid loosing the balance of the story/words. I hope that helps clarify. But if not, let me know. thank you for watching! :)
Definitely take back that missing sunflower wax tool. HL will definitely give u a refund!! If u don't have your receipt they will give u a HL gift card 4 the price of your item. GREAT HAUL!!! V.Smith
Hola Michelle! Hi from SW Florida... Nice Hobby Lobby Haul! I just shop when I need certain craft items. I am very discipline as for buying more , and more... I find myself not using most of my craft supplies as much. But, I do love your fun choices.... we visited Cuba once and we loved it, wouldn't mind going back someday. Maybe you can return your missing item for a a refund, as much as you shop there. (I would). I am always checking the package to see if its been open.. TFS!! Hugs Gloria
Hi Gloria, thank you for watching! Yeah, i need to start using more and more of my stash as my craft space is running out of storage....lol! I've never been to Cuba, but would love to visit one day! i definitely will start double checking my package more now....i just can't believe that happened...lol crafty hugs - Michelle :)
You found some great items! And I do the exact same thing - take a picture of the aisle then go home and check my stash. It has definitely saved me some money and time. It's a bummer that the items aren't all 75% off anymore. It definitely does make the total go higher more quickly! I was just in my store a few hours ago and they haven't marked anything down yet! The manager of the department happened to be in the Tim Holtz aisle and she said they are discontinuing all the Tim Holtz items because they don't sell. Not sure if that's just my store or not. I'm sure it would sell better if they either put it on sale once in a while or gave us a coupon back!
Yeah i totally agree. After they stopped putting TH on sale a few years ago, i feel their movement stopped. I mean what did they think would happen - lol! I feel even Joann's is getting ride of a lot of their TH inventory too. So sad you can't buy things same day in hand and everything is online with a wait for the product to ship and arrive. :( Just glad we are able to get some good deals on some of the stuff to use later! :) Hope you find everything you are looking for!
My machine does the same thing and leaves hanging pieces of paper. I just clip them off too but it is a bit annoying that the machine does not make a clean cut. Thanks for sharing . It was a great tutorial. Thank you
thank you for letting me know i wasn't alone. yeah i agree, it is a bit annoying, but glad it's an easy fix for the situation. :) thank you for your feedback & for watching too!
That turned out great! How did you not get any press lines or maybe you did and I missed it. I tried a moisture wicking 100 % polyester tank top and it had really bad press lines. I threw it away.
when using 100% poly shirt, i suggest to tear the edges of the paper (around the image) to avoid the harsh straight lines and see if that works. if you still see the harsh lines, then i would reduce the pressure a bit too. Hope this helps.
You got some nice stuff. So thankful you opened the Halloween Advent calendar. I was going to order one, but based on what this one had in it, I decided against it. I was hoping for stamps and dies.
I was wondering. After you took the plastic off the wind spinner did you clean it with anything before you put the picture on it? Some do and they use rubbing alcohol and run a lint brush over it. So I do that but it comes out terrible. Also, I am using heat resistant tape and it puts the tape marks on the spinner.. What should I do?
I do use rubbing alcohol and sometimes i see smear marks from the alcohol drying. I would suggest to use a micro fiber cloth to remove the lint, essentially that is what u don't want on your finished product as the lint turns into blue specs (weird i know). Unsure which heat resistant tape you are using, but if it's leaving a mark, maybe your pressure is too firm or try using different tape? What i try to do is put the tape on 1/4 inch of the product and the rest on the paper, then flip to press. just don't give up. It does take a bit to get the hang of it, but it's so rewarding when you do :) hope this helps. :)
For the ribbon prices, even though they are the same $ it could be when your store received the ribbon. I agree its crazy. I realized that when buying a couch , you pay more for the color you want. I enjoy watching you because you not only show what you got but suggest other ways to use the items. That sets you apart from other channels for me.
Thank you for sharing that. It is mind boggling to a logical person as to why pricing is so off. LOL! Thank you for your kind words, means the world to me & thank you for subscribing :)
The process I used in this video is Heat Transfer Vinyl. If you are going to use regular vinyl and it’s not sticking down you might have to coat your wood in polyurethane first and let it cure before using the vinyl. Hope that helps.
Beautiful tags. Loved the masking and your rainbow numbers are my favorite. I love watching your videos I like to play around with mixed media but don’t very often. I’m currently working on my first Little Golden Book junk journal so I may try some stenciling in it. Thanks Michelle! Crafty hugs 🤗 teri
