A little context.. I used to have some time in my teenage years when I had a pretty invisible bad mental state as an amab non-binary egg (cracked only about 10 years later) and one of the "solutions" I had for the issue is buzz cutting my head totally bald. Later I had to admit that I did that for 4 years because I wanted to look as ugly to others as I saw myself. (I haven't had a haircut since 2019).. Now the story.. one day I decided to cut my hair completely. Home buzz cutter with the plastic protector taken off, so it was just cutting right by the skin. I spent the next early summer day outside, on a non-art related event, since it was years before I started. I put sun cream all over my face, neck, arms, and legs.. I literally didn't even think about the fact I should've put it on my scalp as well. It was baaaad. I have no idea how I didn't pass out at any point of that day. I accidentally touched my head after a few hours and wondered why it hurts so much, and then I realized what I just did. Unrelated, congrats on finishing the artfight piece!

Fun fact, when i was younger I wanted to be a character designer/concept artist!!! So it is wild how so little of my art is planned ahead of time.... anyway hiiiii <3 I hope y'all liked seeing me bring this old design into somethin more sleek. lmk what you think of him!! >:3c

What a coincidence, I also made two. One was for a friend I've known for a few years, the other was for some people I regularly talk to in a discord server and I combined their characters into one.
I just recently found your RU-vid channel and what art fight was and hopefully in the future i can participate in it and i love your art because it’s so majestic if that’s a good word to say for your art and if you enjoy what you do which is making art you have endless time to make it but it’s important to take care of yourself too as well ❤

@@ekozoidmajiker6186 for any program I like to go with a canvas that's 8"x10" ! That way if I like the piece it's easy for me to make a print later 😂 and always 300dpi!

I'm pretty sure Practical Magic is also here on youtube! It's one of my favorites! I'm pretty sure Practical Magic and Kiki's Delivery Service are what drew me toward the witchy way because I was OBESSED with them as a kid!
@@six.studios I can't remember if Kiki's Delivery Service was my first or if it was My Neighbor Totoro! I had them both on VHS as a kid, it was the Fox Entertainment versions which I personally like more than the Disney ones! Not that Disney did a bad job! I just like the nostalgia 🤣
I think I missed the deadline for this year but I'm going to join art fight next time for sure! I need to create some OCs first! Last time I made an OC I was probably 16 years old 😅Unless my BG3 Tavs count!

Really well done! The new version of that piece is so much more unique. No undo wouldn't be an issue for me since I already almost never use it.. No transform tools on the other hand are a completely different conversation. Take away my eraser too, and I'll just grab some paper and a ballpoint pen for better results! :D
nah cause I got banned from a discord server for "copying" this youtubers art style, and while yes, I took inspiration when I first ever came across them, they got mad at me and others for it as we "crossed their personal boundaries". I went to talk to them about it and tried to stay civil at first however they were just being an asshole. I let them know that i've drawn cat bodies like that for the last couple years only to be told "no it hasn't, that's just my art" like huh????? tf you mean no, i've only been in the server for like a couple months. Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent about this youtuber.
omg yes thank you FOR ranting i saw this really prevalently back in the day with warrior cats animatics! so many people would fight over what I would ultimately say is like THE warrior cats animation art style, like it is OKAY TO BE INSPIRED BY SOMEONE AAAAA!!! as long as you are not quite literally tracing?? it is ok! thats just imo uvu
