What a great video! If you need to mount another one, take a look at "The New Guy Robot Mount" from JMC Motion. It's made to work with your existing fixtures/tooling and reduce upfront costs.
The first hand/manual teach path robots were first developed around 1982 for paint spraying. The welding robot industry looked at this method but it was discarded as a viable method by most top line robot manufacturers as it was difficult manually to maintain the same stick out distance and weld angles from the start point of the seam to the end point of the seam. Using a teach pendant may be a little slower but definitely more precise and repeatable.
Is it truly that easy to set up a Cobot because I’ve used the fanuc ones before having to teach with the teach pendant can get long having to do you joint motions to linear arc starts ends and weaves can you teach the cobot to do all that
i worked with UniversalRobots for the last 10 years since it came up here in germany. And yes, it really is that simple! You can set it in Freedrive mode, then you can just move it where you need it by hand and then save the points. It is really as simple as it sounds and as it is shown here. Look for a reseller in your area, most of them giove these robots for testing for pretty low cost. Thats the best way to check it out
