Resilient, motivational, inspiring, phenomenal are just a few of the words you can use to describe this woman who hails from St. Elizabeth - the bread basket of Jamaica. She embodies the qualities of a natural and charismatic leader that will enable to continue to soar to new heights. Go Dr. Trish
Excellent interview. I’m so proud of Dr.Bailey and all of her accomplishments. It’s so good to see Jamaican women excel and stand out when they migrate abroad. Bravo Dr.Bailey. You make us proud. 🇯🇲
Honestly, I've never heard of this organization education myself now. Is concerning that there are so many programs, Hartford Dollars being poured into many ah programs.
I have been searching for a site to voice my concern. I feel I'm a victim of extortion. I have been charged $83 for parking , and I did not see any sign that says no parking. I have paid that amount, but was recently sent another mail that my car gonna he impound for parking and I need to pay $42. Now I have not park at that area only since that time. Now there must be some law protection residence from this form of extortion. I need some insistence with this issue as no one should be above the law.
Thank you to the People of Connecticut's Capital City Hartford, the City Council members, and the Mayor's Office for recognizing me and allowing me to give a personalized update of my 1st Year as Troubadour. *Congratulations* to everyone in the building who engaged in an open address of the struggle for tenants to have fair housing and a humane response from their landlords (See the previous video) See you all soon - Continue to W!N

Right before cellphone cams became common I went to Hartford to see a show with my buddy who was visiting from out west. We went to go in but I wanted my jacket for later. I went back to the car and found an obviously steroid abusing Hartford cop with his hands around the neck of a petite girl slamming her head into the concrete repeatedly alternating with wild closed fist haymakers to the head and neck. My friends car was a rental and the cop and victim were thrashing against it. The cop looked at me, at the victim then at his closed fist that at that moment was extended in the air. He demonically snarled at me, "You'd better get the F. out of here". I pointed a finger at him and said, "F. you THAT is police brutality". His gun and the look in his eyes were terrifying and I went to go find my friend or other witnesses. Backup must have arrived and from a distance of about 50 yards I see two Hartford PD cops running towards me. I stood completely still and thought to myself, "this is America". I was shocked when they flying tackled me and began pounding my head into the concrete as well as kicking and punching me. I was thrown in a Paddy Wagon for over 7 hours, charged with inciting a riot even though the cop, his victim and I were the only ones present and spent the night in jail. I returned to the city at substantial expense and inconvenience and was coerced into placing my hand on a bible and pleading guilty to a patently false open alcohol charge. The event cost me about 2 full weeks pay. There was no alcohol and I had not been drinking at all. This is the reality of police and Hartford police.
Over the next 15 to 20 years, 60 percent of jobs will disappear due to #automation #Ai #UniversalBasicIncome - dignity Life For every one.... Technology is cheaper than workers. it's Time for a #BasicIncome & #FourDayWorkWeek
Basic income is an idea that is both radical and simple: everyone in a society receives an income sufficient to provide for their basic needs. It's given unconditionally, with no need 2 qualify for it Technology is cheaper than workers. it's Time for a #BasicIncome & #FourDayWorkWeek
Basic Income is not radical, it is logical. All UBI proposals I have seen so far are unsustainable. It is time we start talking about the real UBI only. The Real UBI is a mechanism for perpetual re-distribution of ownership of Wealth. Therefore, the real UBI is funded by a comprehensive Wealth tax only. Any UBI funded in a different way is a fake UBI in terms of sustainability or sufficiency.
Universal Basic Income - Dignity Life For EveryOne. unconditional Income for all* Technology is cheaper than workers. it's Time for a #BasicIncome & #FourDayWorkWeek
I'm of Jamaican heritage - both parents from Clarendon. I live in The Netherlands. I went to Hartford, Connecticut on my only trip to the eastern USA to visit family. I arrived at the train station in Hartford and two taxi drivers immediately starting speaking in Jamaican patois to me! I did not even know Connecticut had a Jamaican population!!
Thank you, Kim, for your tireless work on behalf of our children, youth and families! Your commitment is admirable in a role that isn’t always easy. We appreciate you and your dedication to our Hartford community and families!
