Regardless of opinion, 16 is easily the consensus in both the US by State and Internationally. Secondly, it's just a really weak and bad argumentation. "Well that's the popular consensus, so it must be right" is braindead levels of logic. There's a lot of arguments he _could_ make for 16 or 18 or... whatever... but he chose the most shallow one possible.

He believes that being a true adult and consenting person varies from person to person (based on biological/environment differences). He’s also stating the legal/government definition varies from government to government. These are facts folks. Philosophical discussion around this is the building blocks for any logical conversation. Moist critical is constantly using straw-man fallacies in his logic. (Assuming he knows sneako’s stance and trying to trap him into a fallacious way of thinking to appear winning the argument) The fact the narrator and others finds him poking at this logic as pedofilic in nature is the reason you will continue misunderstanding things about the world. I mean I don’t understand Sneako is wrong is you use logic I mean the definition of an adult is after someone who has gone though puberty that is the dictionary definition and it hasn’t been changed so people have their periods in different ages like 13,14,16,17 extra so I guess under the actual definition I guess a 14 year old who has gone through puberty is an adult and it is true that most places the age of consent is 16 so why 18? Sneako is taking an extreme pov of the idea that everyone matures at differing ages. The problem with that is the government doesn’t have enough time or resources to determine every persons maturity level and give them each their own age of consent and it’s most definitely not something you can leave upto individuals to determine for themselves. it’s unrealistic and would cause more issues than it solves. therefore they determine the average age at which people finish puberty, add a couple years to be safe, and call it the age of consent/adulthood. If you violate that age of consent and or push an agenda to lower the age of consent you are effectively trying to sleep with/allow other adults to try and sleep with others who are, on average, not matured. Which yes, is pedophilia. Pretty simple rules and if you think otherwise then ur a fuckin creeps or at best encouraging fucking creeps to ruin others lives.

6:02 Sneako just answered his own question. That's why socially the age of consent is 18. A 20 year old and 15 for is weird because the 15 year old is still going to school building up the knowlegde into adulthood trying to figure out what it wants to be and do. An adult already has a solid idea in mind. An adult having such relationships with a minor takes advantage of their lack of experience in the world and lack intelligence for it's own future.
I agree with you but that’s not really the case in some countries for example like African countries or middle eastern cause the conditions in which they live in basically force them to be mentally mature at a younger age compared to like teens in the USA or Europe so at the end of the day it varies on the place you’re living in, in like Europe or America 18 is basically the perfect age for someone to be considered mentally mature but in like African or middle eastern countries it makes sense for them to have it a bit lower
