This is how you would win a fist fight, all you would have to do is just do break dancing moves and keep spinning the dude wouldnt be able to get near you and if he does approach well he might get knocked the F*** out by a spinning ninja kick to the face.
@clownbreaker Well the video is called new school "power". Of course it's only going to have power. If you wanted style you should of went to a video about style.
@thomasthaott yeah i see where your coming from man! But you're describing what bboying means to YOU. As you say, it's an art and noone has any ground to say that they should have more style or should be doing this or that. Those things aren't what bboying means to them and therefore would not be self expression for them if they're forced to learn 'style' moves that they don't care about... plus i'm jealous 'cos i want some power like this XD Self-expression. No rules. No boundaries.
@Rahrhino Also, bboy is supposed to be an art where dancing and power moves are incorporated together in stylish way pertaining to the individuals personality and the music thats playing...lots of these power moves have absolutely no rythem, they are just for show and wow factor. that being said some of the moves are pretty spectacular but it would be good to have more traditional bboying as well.
@Rahrhino i think it depends on the individual bboy but over all a lot of these new power move only bboys dont have much in the style department..just because u do power moves doesnt mean u cant add style to it. Some of the new power move bboy's forget about style and they really shouldnt.
@clownbreaker i think a lot of these moves have massive amounts of style. I don't think people should view breaking as power OR style; it's both, just in varying degrees
@kjunkwakwak u obviously know nothing about bboying...i just read ur other comment about james brown....can u read english??. read my post again...the bboys danced to the break beat in these older records not to the whole record!. hence the term bboy. the b stood for break, hence the term breaker in later years. electro took on the break beat and incorporated it into the whole record - not just in a small part of the record as was the case with james brown tracks and others.....understand now?
@kjunkwakwak i agree re the music as mentioned before - it is total shit. but funk, jazz, soul is not bboying music. originally they would dance to the break beat in a track - hence the term bboy or breaker....but in the 80s it was all about electro. u cant break to rap, jazz or soul. the beats are way off line with the dancing.
@Jay1898 omg.. im not saying its black people's dance but your not changing the music into stupid hardmetal or dubstep because its original music is funk, jass, soul, hiphop, blues
@kjunkwakwak sorry to piss in ur bonfire guy but it was the puerto ricans that brought bboying to the world not the blacks!. the blacks may have invented bboying but it was the latinos that had the style, class and charisma to bring it to everyone. and the only style of music worth dancing to as a bboy is electro (80s electro not the shit we have today which is sometimes also referred to by the same name).
i have to agree that the music is fucking shit but some of the moves are just out of this world. i had to mute the music it was so bad!!! these guys should be olympic gymnasts!!
@h4loplaya Shut the fuck up you little bitch. You don't see us(metal heads) go up to EVERY OTHER fucking video on youtube saying, fuck this mainstream bullshit. It's because we have something called music appreciation so gtfo.
