On this channel, I do Cpu vs Cpu simulation gameplay to get the MOST REALISTIC outcomes on sports video games. I play Madden NFL Franchise Mode and ESPN NFL 2K5 Franchise Mode mainly on this channel.
First round (by the computer) is exclusively OT, QB, HB, and DE. Do not EVER draft another position in the first. Trade that #15 pick (or whatever pick you have) for the 1st pick in rd 2. Also, no matter how great an OT is, the computer will never take him higher than #6 overall. A cheesy hack I discovered is to trade your 1st, 2nd, and 5th to whatever team is picking first overall in rds 1 and 2. (So, you trade away your 1st, 2nd, and 5th for the other team’s first and second.) That way, for a net “loss” of just a 5th round pick, you can get the best overall rookie at QB, DE, or HB, and the best player at any other position at the top of the second. A little cheesy, I know. But to me, any 1st round pick after about #8 or 9 is garbage compared to what you can get at the top of the second. (And pay him far less as well.)

Not true, they are random in game players. One of the obvious ones is Anquan Boldin, and most of the others are like 3rd or 4th stringers on differing teams
I can exploit the draft I just turn on edit rookies rating to 100 and draft them and trade for 1st draft pick and 1st second pick and 1st third round pick hell I was using the lions doing this
I don't do rebuilds sort of say, I pick a team and try to win super bowls but I just trade, sign players. But I play every game that we're in. I don't skip through I play the season.
Don't know if you need alot of help on your team but maybe should have trade away a few old players and players couldn't resign and got some extra draft capital
yeah I did a separate video showcasing the phone. I found about that on NFL 2K4 not too long ago and went to NFL 2K5 to see if that feature was still there and it was. It helps allot. Now I can scout top players fully for the first 3 rounds and use the phone for the last 4 rounds of the draft.
no i do not. I allow rookies to progress the way they should. I drafted a 57 overall rookie and he progressed 12 points in overall after 1 year as a nickleback cause my starting CB got injured for most of the year. I guess the playing time helped.
@@mikemartin8461 no but I should sometimes to names a little more common for the uncommon names so the announcers will say their name on big plays instead of their jersey number
I just started playing this game again. I was a legend at 2k football. I’m in the 2k4 game as a player (WR) and was in top 40 of Dricas, knew the guys who played in NY for finals of that tournament (I had back surgery, I couldn’t play), one of my close online friends was Fireal who went. 2k5 wasn’t as good as 2k4 but still a blast. The thing about drafting is speed speed speed and agility. Most people can stop the run vs CPU. The best to improve passing & pass defense is flooding cover & separation for your WR. Consistency and composure are more important than you’d realize. Glad to know someone else still enjoys this game.
This must be for newbies because like me, I’m sure you’ve played the heck out of this game over the past 20 years. There are so many ways to exploit the draft, trades, etc but that’s no fun. I have a ton of house rules I follow to make 2k5 as hard as possible.
Could you imagine how awesome sports games would be now, if they were made like they used to be made, but with the graphics of today? We have much better graphics now, but much lower standards of gameplay and game construction
I forgot how good this was , you dont see anything even half as good in any sports game these days , just think what they could do today if they had the chance

I just started playing Maximum Football 2020 again in preparation for the new Maximum Football 2023 that'll be coming out within the next few months. I have to say, Franchise Mode and simulation is pretty deep and fun in this game. I definitely like how you can scout players and call them, and later try to recruit them to your school football team. Also, are you looking forward to playing the new Maximum Football 2023 when it comes out, it's made by a totally new studio this time and it looks to be a much better game overall under new ownership.
Hey Hey Man whats up. I heard the Maximum Football is supposed to be Free to Play. And I heard its not coming to PS5. Only PC and Xbox. I could be wrong. We'll see. How's the mobility for you are you better moving around.
@@RaySportsGaming Yeah, I just bought Axis Football 23 and I'm really impressed with the gameplay, it's waaaay better than Maximum Football 2020. It's a completely different game compared to Axis Football 2021 in terms of gameplay. The latest Axis Football 23 plays like the NFL Gameday games, it's that decent. If you haven't played the newest Axis Football 23, you need to try it out man, the gameplay, animations, QB throws, player catches look really good. And thanks man, yeah I'm doing good, still get back pain but I've been managing it. Oh, Ray, how come I'm unable to comment on your new videos? @@rcyoung86 I think because I have those videos made for kids they don't allow comments on those videos. I will fix it from now on and change videos to no restriction. That's good your doing good. I wan't to try axis football 2023 just didn't see any vids on it yet. But I will take a look at it. I might cop if its good enough.
@@RaySportsGaming It's actually pretty decent, not gonna lie. Axis Football 23 makes Maximum Football 2020 look bad in comparison. Axis Football 24 is coming out in a few months with a lot of improvements, but Axis Football 23 is a good game tonplay while waiting for Axis Football 24. And that would be great if you can fix the comments so that when you upload new videos I can keep in contact with you on your new videos.
