If you find it a terrible weapon , your not doing it right . I use a looted standard sks (no add on atetcments) and need max 2 hits on any to kill them . And I can take out multiple targets at multible ranges like that pretty quick .

@@Goodbois1 no , I travel around the whole map whit the sky . It ain’t a bad weapon . It has some downsides vs automatics , but had also upsides vs automatic . You learn those , think hard about it . And you might learn how to properly use the sks and fully enjoy its bennifits .

@@Toby-NL it fires objectively worse ammo than the M4/AK74, has a lower firerate, extremely long reload animations, is heavier than an M4 or AK74. and is less accurate than similar length M4 (shares its accuracy with the AK74). it is not a good gun.

If they continue like this there is no future. Patches are rare, a lot of time passes between two updates, almost nothing important is fixed, optimization is disastrous (during a longer session, performance drops drastically, I don't know why, but it has never happened to me in any other game.) There is no new content for us who have completed all 133 missions. Completed all missions in two weeks and now what?

I’ll just say, it’s early in its early access release. When you choose to deeply simulate health systems and weapon ballistics, you get unexpected behavior that takes time and effort to balance. Particularly when you’re also trying to make a realistic experience within those simulated parameters. Most games are as simple as: Player has 100 health. Bullet does 50 damage. 10x damage on head hit box, 5x damage on center mass. Body armor/helmet reduces incoming damage by 100% for one hit. GZW is simulating bullet trajectory shift/destabilization when passing through barriers, ricochets off solids and water, simulates temporary wound cavities within the player and AI, simulates vascular and tissue damage that can lead to delayed deaths in players and AI, simulates armor with degradation. All of this complexity introduces the potential for errors. Coupled with other early access foibles, common to games of the genre and others (overly skilled AI, network desync and latency issues, etc) and you have an experience that ranges from amazing to insanely frustrating. The good news is MFG is one of the most active devs I’ve ever seen. They’re constantly fixing stuff, breaking stuff, fixing it again, which is what game dev and early access is all about. If you’re not breaking things, you’re not innovating enough.

I have 250 hours in GZW, making my founders edition purchase somewhat worth. The skeleton of this game had massive potential, but MFG failed to put meat on the bones in the most asinine ways. I played the game on a fossil PC and still managed to finish the questline solo and i'm glad i did it. The game's greatest asset is the AI difficulty and straight up broken nature, as its the only thing that makes it hard. I probably won't touch the game again because of the way the devs have handled release and subsequent debacles with game breaking issues. I wanted to believe in the MFG team but at this point i'm convinced its just a more well camouflaged cash grab than the day before and I'll never touch thier product again. Release an extraction shooter that has insanely easy and untraceable duplication bugs, deletes your safe container (THAT YOU PAID EXTRA FOR), no working reconnect, impossibly rare key locked quest lines?!?!?!?: seems like these dudes have never actually played these types of games and have no idea how egregious these issues are for a game like this. Its a sick fuckin joke just like the benny hill pisol Pvp in this video

@@penthyn repetition is the opposite of combating boredom. wipes are a lazy content stretch, that forces repetition. at the same time having progress reset is highly frustrating, especially if you aren't rushing through everything

@@PeterPetermannit does kinda suck. Takes me awhile to get through games like this. Im at level 25 and just did some of the Fort Narith quests. I think marking the jets was the last one I did. It’s gonna suck when I go to log on one day and I’m back at zero without having had time to finish the questline. I understand if its due to being alpha and releasing more features/places/quests in between what I’ve already done. If its just a every six month thing then I’ll just be done with it now.

How could I mistake this for a fun game, and not just some grinder that's just repeating everything and killing any sense of progress?

Each time I watch a state of the game, I hear the devs are aware of every flaw in the game. Each time I play the game, I notice not one has been solved. We're now 2 months in, doesn't look promising tbh. Still deafening sound of choppers, shortage of choppers, same LZ's, aimbot AI, network crashes, straight to desktop crashes, AI hidden in staircase in TB Mall killing everyone, unfindable quest keys, halved fps in TB, -20 fps looking through scopes, unlootable bags, glass through scopes changing into a blurry mess, CPU at 90-100% in base camp with heating problems, M4 and MK18 only useful guns, AI receiving multiple headshots and still able to hipfire headshot, AI not being affected when receiving bullets, coma only exists for players, handguns paintguns, etc.. 2 Months in, not one problem solved. Meanwhile, they have an army of paid trolls trying to counter every post on steam with any of the above in a thread, trying to shift the blame on players' hardware. Devs trying to pull away the bug/report/discussions to external sites like X or Discord, away from public view or potential buyers on Steam, where they can ban negative posts/players easier. Doesn't look good to me...

​@@Goodbois1 That's not correct my man, I'm in pc hardware for 20 years now, building my own. The only game this has people reporting about it, not happening with that same CPU in any other game/application. It's been reported by countless people the abnormal usage of the CPU going up to 95-100%, just in base camp already. Users of all kinds of CPU's, from 7800X3D to Intel 12-13000 users with top tier GPU's combined. I know about the problem with 14900 and 13900 Intel CPU's, this has nothing to do with that. Games shouldn't stress CPU's going up to 90-100% the whole time, ab-so-lutely not. It's a sign of amateuristic coding, the fact the devs don't do anything about it, is another sign on the wall...

@@Goodbois1 I didn't play today, what we actually need are LZ's where players can pinpoint where to land or be extracted. The fact similar LZ's are being used, no matter if it's more, by different factions is a big no-no for pvp. You don't lay the outcome of a battle between players in the 100% luck scale as the determinating factor...

The problem is that the helicopters are always full and get camper All The Time The solution to the problem is Non-Drivable Vehicle. Non-Drivable Vehicle is like air transport but on the ground Even though it's Much slower But it Can carry more people and provides safety to the players like Stryker BTR-80 M-ATV etc. Non-Drivable Vehicle Can provide a fire support and deploy a smoke grenades 15-30 seconds after the Player gets off the Vehicle. if there are still enemy in the area where the player went, player can choose to return to the Vehicle in 30 sec and RTB.!

The Server issues have to go because those cause the ai to be bulletspongy, the ai has to be reworked completley because its kind of stupid that they turn around 180 and kill you once you mess up your shot, and quest progression locked behind stupid keys you can not find because they are that rare really takes out the wind of your sail, plus the spawnrates have to be reworked because some firefights can drag out beyond 15 minutes and then all the enemys behind you spawn in when your like in tiger bay or something like that.

Would be great idd, they already used that in Soldier of Fortune II, using normal nades but also flash bangs(vision)/smoke/stun(sound) or white phospor nades. Doing flanking maneuvres, waiting for back-up... all made in 2004, 20y ago..so it is possible.

EVERY gun other than the M4 or MK18 is not fully developped and should be avoided at all cost, sadly enough. The fact you miss out on the 60 mag for 5.56 guns, is another (major) disadvantage.

FSR makes the game so blurry at a distance of 20 meters and beyond, even if you use native scaling which is the clearest but cpu/gpu heaviest option you can only see pixels beyond 30 meters its REALLY F*CKED UP! As for the AI, the fact they can see and shoot thru bushes, foliage etc is just fucked up, you should be able to hide from ai in vegetation just like you can with other players.

Sniper rifles are also pointless bc if you mess up and dont get a one shot they'll spin around and drop you at 500m running iron sights before you even get the bolt halfway through the cycle Hopefully they add the scar heavy to give 7.62x51 more use and more rounds Also feel adding atleast UTVs (sidexside), atvs, and motorbikes. Therefore you can choose accordingly to whether your running solo, duo, or more

About the difficulty of AI: it is very difficult to create good AI being difficult in another sense than just be able to have higher hit registration/aim ability. It was done in the past, hence my surprise this has not been replicated or built upon further. Soldier of Fortune II contained AI that pulled back, waited for back-up, used phosphor/smoke/flashbang/normal nades, tried flanking maneuvres, didn't run straight to the player, ... All these elements created a very good AI, using tactical elements, combined with good aim but not godlike aimbot style behaviour. This was a game of 2004, 20y ago, which makes it very hard to encounter the same level of AI in different types of games that doesn't seem to have evolved over the years. Is it kept stupid or are the devs simply no longer capable of creating a more intrinsic layer of deeper difficulty than just install a higher aim % for different enemies? We need AI working in stages with a gradual incline in awareness, following different steps that would allow tactical counter maneuvres. If they hear a shot, they need to go out and check it, eventually with back up. If they see a player, they should report it on the radio/walkie talkie so everyone is aware some unwanted people are on site. Firing to a position means first a check up of the environment or if plain visible and not silenced, a direct response like we see now. Enemies also need to move constantly, unless in group where they can have a talk but then continue their way, or fixed guards at the entrances. Right now AI goes from 0-100 in a split second, they know exactly where the silenced shot comes from, they are firing already before your second shot. This needs to change dramatically, which I've read they will change indeed. The question is only, how will they change it, will it be a developped AI or just basic AI like we encounter in any other game, simple and boring. (make aware, hide, shoot one by one entering a room...)

Very good points and some of them exactly my thoughts which I've posted before on steam forum, like different modes of transport. Honestly, their explanation is useless and illogical. It's a virtual world, we don't need more choppers, we need a different system implemented. For example, you can let more than 4 people on the same chopper, they don't need to be shown, they can ride along and come back to a visible entity at the LZ, it's virtual, it's perfectly possible. If choppers would show their destination before reaching base camp, this also excludes a 4 man squad having to split up on different choppers if allied players would ride the same chopper.

Don't ask yourself why Madfinger did some things, a lot of what was decided to be implemented, can be categorized as "the most illogical decisions combined in one game". - Same LZ for all 3 factions, knowing they would be enemies. - Create a shortage of available choppers, guess what will happen at the LZ's... - Create quests that can only be completed by finding unfindable keys with a drop rate so low, aliens have a higher chance of visiting earth before you find one. - Create the impossibility to share quests in squads, meaning every squad member needs to kill x amount of enemies or the boss, separately, while at the same time, enemies respawn only after 30 min. Combine that with different factions doing the same quests, at the same spot and you create another shortage with hordes of enemies on pvp. - Make players sit out a chopper ride of 6 minutes to the most distant locations with the horrible, deafening sound of choppers, not even able to speak to one another. - Make the contents of found bags not lootable. To loot a bag, you must throw your own bag to the ground, pick the found one up, throw stuff out, throw the found one on the ground, pick yours back up, pick up the thrown out items.... - Create AI bots that will perforate your body (while praying to the Lord not to get headshotted for once) while wearing the most expensive top tier armour, with the cheapest low tier ammo. While not letting players to perforate that same armour, with the most expensive top tier ammo, of enemy AI. - Let players buy scopes that can target enemies at long distance, but let AI have the ablility to return fire at long distance with hipfiring headshots. - Create helmets but make AI wearing none, withstand multiple headshots. The most horrific thing is, I do like the game, like...a lot ... O.o

I am in the exactly same position. An infant could point out really DUMB things in the existing DESIGN. And as bad as it is, I still enjoy playing the good parts between the utter bullshit. Things like the amount of damage an 7.62 AK round does to a guy who's wearing Level X Tan Chest Skin LOL, are not the kind of thing a dev should MONKEY AROUND WITH for balance reasons. It has to be within a fairly tight range, or else your supposed MILSIM immediately become a JOKE, an ARCADE SILLINESS SHOOTER that only claims to be a MILSIM. The second effect of that is that it effectively renders the Starter Town where your newest players are trying to get a grip on how the game works, to BY FAR the hardest place to survive. IT COMPLETELY BREAKS BALANCE AND FUN. The best way to have fun is to somehow survive the broken mechanics in the starter town and go to other POIs where your money level will let you use M4 all the time even if you lose a few, and suddenly the game starts to ACTUALLY balance out. Instead its not unusual to mag dump a guy in the starter town, and he just wont fall over or really do anything but flinch and blood spatter, then shoot back. You get the feedback of him reacting to BEING shot(which confirms you HIT him... OVER AND OVER), but you get the otherwordly reaction of him not running for cover, or falling, or dying/losing consciousness. These things(damage per round type that HITS) are not CODE. They are sliders. Single number values. If I was the dev, I could change this in one day of settings change, test, release. But people have complained about this OBVIOUSLY FAKE AND UNREALISTIC behavior for months now. The dev has done NOTHING. This tells you 2 things for certain. ONE of these, must be true: 1. The Dev has a poor understanding of how a milsim, or any kind of sim, should work OR 2. The Dev does not care about what we want or about making a realistic gun combat game. ONE of those MUST be true. Because they could have so EASILY fixed this in 1/60th the amount of time that they have. Things like the bots NEEDING to not be able to see and shoot you through bushes is important, but I do get that coding that, and balancing it with performance hits of all those calculations, IS challenging. But simple damage figure adjustments such that the AK, pistols and shotguns are not COMPLETELY USELESS PILLOW THROWING TOYS, is not. The Dev just doesn't care, or is WILDLY incompetent. ONE of those MUST be true. I personally think they don't care, and will be very slow to update anything, because the sales figures basically put them on the beach and they are too drunk or drugged out to care anymore. Madfinger recently celebrated publicly having had 900,000 people buy the basic package($35) and 450,000 people have bought the supporter edition($100). Do the math. They are SET FOR LIFE, even if they never touch this project again, and MOST people do not have the willpower to finish a long and complex project, YEARS AFTER being compensated RICHLY for it already. Why wouldn't they just walk away from it or hand it over to a handful of new developer staff who have to spend months learning how to edit anything? It explains for me why it takes so INCREDIBLY long for them to change even the smallest things, and why (Patch 5.2 for example) they release an update that makes the game completely unplayable with horrible lag, constant crashes and lost gear, etc... they ended up having to simply remove the patch and roll back to an older version, which took them about a day,....and they never caught that in testing first? It was so obvious. It highlighted that the patch had definitely not been playtested before release. I do believe it's because the actual dev is on a beach somewhere, and a newbie skeleton crew is trying to reverse engineer what he built in private and sold to Early Access because he ran off with the money. LOL it's NOT a good scenario for the customer, even if there are traces of fun gameplay in there with all that crap.

Fully agree with you on AI. One shot in head kill with any ammo if no helmet. If helmet than 9mm & shotgun shells have no impact. b) AI take cover.

When devs say : Its not easy.... you know that they dont know what they are doing... time consuming ok but its not easy ?? why i would do something thats is not easy for me and sell it as a product ?? ill just not do it if its not easy for me i'm probably not in the good domaine.. at that point everyone can use UE5 make a map and put garbage bot like that... i must admit i loved playing it but i cannot play anymore since just crashing everytime i use chopper since rollback of 5.2.. something is really wrong with madfingers.. they should have stick to mobile games

Needs perfformance Optimizations AI Aimbot and "Bush hack" ,how is it possible to get killed with 2 head shots by the same enemie,or if we cant see them through bushs and shouldnt be abble to see us too!!???Here is the realism of this game lol Shooting through glass,leaves,grass or fences,AI can do it we dont Die with Light Wounds-its pathetic after the video they did showing how ballistics work,and we keep dieing instantly with one shot on the wrist or shoulder. RUBBER BANDING- one of many annoying things on this game,looks like we are running on thread mill Not enough Helis and theres no other way to go to the LZ´z ,making us loose time,and the chance to get our stuff back Nades are bugged Infinite Reload and/Infinite Healing ,sometimes it glitchs and the action doesnt end,thats pretty annoying when we want and need to cancel it and we cant! Messing with ingame Graffic settings doesnt change much of it! Server crashs and reseting Tasks and making us loose everything Ingame audio is Terrible ,everything,weapons sounds,ambient sounds,looks like something done by an amateur!!! Getting stuck in rocks in the river cant use weapons while crossing the river ,making us seatting ducks Did they actually tryed to play the game before releasing it??Its pretty stupid releasing a game at this point with no conditions of it beeing played At the moment is totally pointless to play it and its a huge test to our patience!By the time the game will be finished,most of this 900k players will be allready tyred of it and moving on!

The game needs extra base outposts that can be fought over and taken over by each faction, giving you a new LZ and things to fight over. They need to make landing cancelable, and you should be able to parachute drop where ever you want out of the heli. They need ammo/meds/weapons cases. They need to obviously improve performance. They got a lot of shit to do.

Parachute of that heli is impossible !How many times have you saw parachuting from Helis??? Theres a pretty obvious reason why we rappel from helis instead of parachute,same reason the wrope has to be thick and heavy ;)

until the game is ready everybody will change hardware usualy 8years is pretty much it so bunch of ppl will be changing after the game is out BUT!!!!the things a hate about the game is the environemnt there is no cover it feels like they didnt work on the environement yet just put down some building and thats it like wtf!?!?!?!?and the AI i will instal it when they balance gun and fix AI ...Maybe in 1 years and im generous if the map stay the same and they dont implement tactic cover or things in the environement im not downloading it ever again bcz it really just look like assets (building) even tho its an open world the POI needs maps design too theres absolutly no strats in all POI u just try to stay out of AI aimbot thats pretty much it

To the second point... the viewing range... It wasn't like that when the game came out. You could see everything clear on crazy far but after the first hotfix.... yeah. I think the devs tried something to get better performance, however it didn't really help anything so i think the render distance will be back in the future. (It might help players with only 8GB VRAM on their GPUs).

Pvp is also an issue, I happened to get large amount of cash in base from someone else so I'm not afraid of losing gear but I still not into pvp, the two pvp runs for me both end up being one tap by campers and lz campers

For me for the mode of transport instead of adding more choppers I would suggest parachuting out of it anywhere in the map and as soon as the chopper is empty it can RTB. It would also eliminate the danger of those LZ campers.
