As part of the effort to promote African tourism to the Asian Pacific, a project called Magical Africa Asia was launched in 2018 as a not for profit collaborative.
In the recent years, statistics has shown that there has been an increase in immigration numbers from Africa to Asia. While the numbers continue to increase, many Asian countries’ understanding, and awareness of Africa remains limited. Thus, Magical Africa campaign was launched with the aim to engage the African community living abroad to actively promote awareness of Africa in the countries they reside in.
Hi, thanks for this inspiration! Do you think it is possible to do the hike without guide? If not, can you recommend a guide? Where exactly does the path start? Thanks a lot in advance!
Wud love to visit Ethiopia via Ethiopian airlines and hope to after COVID as we have a flight from Manchester England and see where Haille Selassie was from
As an Ethiopian, I feel so proud we have a great African carrier that is very successful. And it breaks my heart to see that the government is selling off this highly profitable, lucrative and high growth company to international investors. This is a company that is the source of pride not just for me but for many Ethiopians and even Africans. Ethiopians look up to this company and draw inspiration from it when almost all other institutions in the country are in sad state of disrepair. I strongly believe the company should stay Ethiopian. If the government wants to cash out, thats reasonable but sell it to Ethiopians. If the government wants foreign currency then engage the huge Ethiopian diaspora community who will gladly scoop up shares in the company. This will help preserve the company’s Ethiopian soul.
