I’ve tried several 300’s and the fit and finish sucked compared to the Forefronts! That is, the sole grinding on the 300’s look like it was done by a drunk, inexperienced or someone who could not have cared less on a Friday afternoon! Horrible. I have around 9 pairs or so now of JK’s, 300’s, OT’s, OT Pros, Forefronts. The 300’s are junk compared to the others. For the money, the Whites Perry Selects are a way better value that the 300’s. Higher quality leather, more color options, better construction, it’s not even close. Different style but, the same Christy sole!

@MortimerJones99

The 300 has a stitchdown heel and the Forefront has a nailed heel. The 300 has foam midsole components and the Forefront is all leather in the footbed except the thin layer that helps adhere the wedge sole. That's basically it.

Thanks for the video, I have been considering buying a pair of these and never considered they would be good for your type of work, this gives me confidence in knowing there good for walking on hard surfaces for hours, the one thing I found out about shoes and boots of all types and brands is that some are good for walking and some are good for standing in one place, but not many are good at both. Do you stand in one place for long periods of time and feel pain or fatigue in your arches or back in these boots?

Funnily enough, I just found your video by looking for info on these boots, but for a different non work-related purpose. I am an ER nurse, but just purchased the black Bison Forefront's to have as a very high quality motorcycle boot. Don't think I"ll ever convince myself to wear them in the ED, but ya never know! I know they'd definitely hold up to the task. If I decide I wanted to wear a set of boots in the ED, maybe I'd choose the Origin Coronado's instead if I can even stomach the idea of getting various body fluids on 'em, since they're about half the price 🤣. I hear ya about the Hoka's too! As much as I love them for their comfort and width selections, their outsoles just don't hold up very long for the kinda miles we're putting in on our feet all day. I did recently purchase the leather Bondi's with the heavier duty slip-resistant outsole and I've noticed it's a night and day difference with those and much less noticeable wear. They are quality thick leather and did take a few weeks to fully break-in, but they fit very comfortably after break-in. So if you did want to go back to Hoka's at some point, I'd highly recommend the leather Bondi's for the inevitable body fluids we encounter. I don't think you'd be disappointed, since like me, you appreciate quality, comfortable footwear. Anyway, before I ramble on too much, I can't wait to try out the Bison Forefront's and I'm sure I'm gonna love them! Glad I didn't purchase the limited edition black bison Origin's (even though they look super sweet) and chose the JK's over them. The pattern of the hide on the JK's is just mesmerizing Can't wait to see it in person but the 14-16 week lead-time's gonna kill me!! 😆
@theautonurse7666
@theautonurse7666 10 месяцев назад
Thanks for the insight man!! Yeah I was a little disappointed that the bison came out so soon after I got my boots. I would have got them for sure. The grains amazing! Going from Nola’s to boots made a substantial difference in my back pain and plantar fasciitis. It would be difficult for me to want to switch back. Plus boots seem to be a conversation piece in the hospital.

@@theautonurse7666 When you re-sole these, do you intend on keeping the Christy sole? I love the black Christy on my Origin's, so I'll likely do the same when it does come time to resole the JK's too. Thanks for the video, I just ordered a pair for daily wear. Sneakers have become so pathetic, the foam loses support after a few months and causes a bunch of alignment issues with ankles, hips and back. I've waisted at least double the cost of these boots in the last five years on sneakers that I have to throw away before the tread is even worn down just because the foam loses a bit of support.
