Life in Denver Colorado, aka Mile High City which equivalates into 5280 feet, hence 5280 life. Hiking, biking, wondering around and daily grinds in surrounding area. Still trying to narrow down the channel content
Thanks for checking it out. Taiwan beef ramen had best flavor of many other dishes I have tried. 3 huge piece of tender meat and flat noodles. I didn't care for the texture of bokchoi or scallions. Too chewy.
I was living at a hotel paying monthly rent, in between places. I went to apply for hud/section 8 to get a voucher and pay 30percent of my income. They told me that i can not live in a hotel or even couch surf or roommate with anyone to qualify to get a voucher. I went to go live on the streets intentionally. Just to pay 30percent of my s.s.d.i. check...i do not do drugs. And the other apartment s i had i paid rent with my s.s.d.i. check
2005 estimated 5000 homeless in Denver that was hickenlooper's first-term, he promised and he promised to put an end homelessness within 10 years, then by 2015 an estimated 20,000 homeless when asked about the failure in Hickenlooper responded that was the message of 280 other mayors that knew that it would never end homelessness in his words it was a marketing effort, (promises made promises broke) , when you elect Democrats you get California , when Democrats are in control for too long you get Denver Colorado
Many prayers for more long term facilities to be built across the country for those who want to be a positive, productive member of society in the loving name of Jesus Christ.
With all due respect, we've thrown BILLIONs of tax dollars at this problem with new housing, services, hotel rooms and new economic busting regulations over past couple of decades only to make it worse. Only way out of this insanity is called tough love, and for the voters to start electing real leadership that can put taxpayers ahead of pandering for votes. That eliminates ANYONE in today's democrat party. I'm nether a dem or repub, just a multi generation Coloradan sick and tired of watching the destruction of my state and these one party rule democrats doing nothing to fix anything. Totally agree, a lot of these people are "here for the weed" with no assets, no job and no home.
Honestly,I have to wonder if some of them were by BK at 6th/Broadway before it got torn down,I lived in Capitol Hill and saw many homeless near BK down the street!
Most of them like 98 percent are choosing this,, they want the freedom of doing the drugs and alcohol and don’t want help other then free money….that’s why I honestly DONT respect next to all homeless people like this
This began thanks to the legalization of marijuana and this will happen in every state that decides to legalize that drug. Colorado was not like that and now we are living this situation thanks to that bad decision, well if you are addicted to that drug you cannot see the bad, such as the increase in traffic, pollution and especially the high rate of crime and car theft that we live here every day.
No folks, this is the result of closing mental health hospitals, and also Rent being undoable for most of us. Cut the housing costs in half across the United States and watch everyone choose to live indoors. No one wants to live live this.
You’re a fucking idiot if you think smoking bud leads to homelessness 🤣🤣 love how you tried to correlate the two and thinking you profoundly said something. Yeah, blame it on the weed. Not heroin, crack, or drugs that actually take a hold on somebody’s life and mind.
It is holding up very nicely. I have added pair of 50 pounder, 40 pounder to the lower level plus 10# KB. Upper level has pair of 10, 15, 20, 30 for now.
These are the result for legalizing mariguana, that was a mistake now we are paying the consequences, more traffic, more homeless moving to Colorado and more crime.
People always say this as if they would choose homelessness over having a home nobody would ever choose to be without shelter over having shelter anyone that says that has no idea what they're talking about. They may choose homelessness over a shelter that is full and disgusting and has rules they don't agree with but nobody would ever choose to be cold and starving over warm and fed.
@@T.H.O.T.H. LMAO. Other than the ten years I smoked methamphetamine day on night, the two years in prison, the three at tbe dumpiest halfway house in mesa arizona, I have no idea!
@@T.H.O.T.H. my dope use more like from the late 80s to to 2012. Just the last ten years were "full blast". I am so thankful actually for transitional living. But you have to clean or you fail All these young ones today are on next level shit fentanyl. They are screwed. Meth is nithing to this shit
Wow! Is this the solution? There should be no reason one should be homeless in Denver. Businesses are desperate for workers. Given the availability of jobs homelessness in Denver is a choice. They should then chose to camp elsewhere.
This area will be cleaned out like they did last year. This is from the news last week: "Denver is planning a sweep of homeless encampments now scattered throughout a huge swath of Five Points. The action, which is scheduled for April 30, is being authorized under laws prohibiting obstructions in the public right-of-way and will help address "deteriorating public health and safety conditions," according to city officials."
But we are not, we actually work hard to get all these people into shelters and out of the streets. From what I understand Austin does not have this same viewpoint from the local government.
