THANK YOU VERY MUCH for uploading this, Brought back great memories. I have this collection on vinyl, but no turntable. Sound quality is great. Any chance of uploading the entire, 2 discs set? Please. Thanks again.
I'm on my 3rd technics turntable and it's the 1200GR. Always have loved the silver!! All my stereo equipment is black and makes the silver stand out. 💯💥❤️🩹
Yeah, EMI and RFI can be a major irritation. There’s many things that can cause hum or noise. As I was writing this about to say try a braided cable. Check out Blue Jeans Cables if you ever need more cables. Their super low capacitance works well with a lot of cartridges. FWIW, the cable itself can be balanced, meaning it can be wired to a fit in an SE RCA plug, like in your case, or an XLR. It’s got 3 or 4 wires inside the cable. Also, a directional cable just means the shielding is soldered to the ground, but only on one side of the cable. Good luck, man.
The rf is coming from the ground wire. Using braided now with no changes. The speaker wire worked better for rf. Only thing that helps is placement and positioning. Thanks.
@@4vinylsound Yes, I understand the hum is coming from the ground wire, just mentioning the other cables. I’ve had great luck reducing hum with yes, placement can be very effective, but also copper tape can be helpful as well. Either cut it and wrap it around the problem wire, or if it’s a component like a phono pre, putting it inside the chassis of whatever the hum is coming from. Also making sure no cables are running closely parallel to any power cables, but close to 45-90 degrees from them. So, again, placement.
I tried one of the Behringer units and returned it. The level control wouldn't give me unity gain which made it useless as a side chain effect. Anyone else have that issue with them?
Yes that happened to me with abk butler in this video and a vintage Marshall gov'nor pedals but you won't have that problem with this behringer vintage tube monster, its extremely loud.
All my stereo equipment is black but I got the 1200GR in silver. I ordered sliver because it's classic. It's my 3rd silver technics I've had in my life.
The surf green probably has lm1458 opamp bs 4559 in the blue timmy, if thats tge case its reasonable that the surf green is less harsh...check the namey of the chips
You did a great job wit this upload and it sounds great, it gives you that feel of actually listening to it in somebody's house or a live outdoor concert.
the black is the dj version the silver in the audiophile version. That's why sweatwater only carries the black one. The dj version, otherwise I'd have the audiophile silver version.
@@4vinylsound Nah, thousands of roached and heavily abused silver 1200s are the reason audiophiles never took the 1200 seriously until recently. The 1210s have always demanded a premium on the used market, because they look like a proper turntable.
@@hurkamur1 is always been the 1200s silver until the late 80s and later when djs started using the 1210 black ones came out, but before that in the early 80s n 70s when audiophiles used technics it was only the silver 1200. I always associate djs with black tt and everyone else silver or wood. I petered the 1200s but technics doesn't supply their audiophile model the 1200 to guitar stores only the 1210 dj version. So I was sick getting the 1210 dj version according to technics and sweatwater.
According to technics and sweetwater the black 1210 is the later model for D j's and the original 1200 silver is the original model for everyone else including audiophiles Which techniques only supplies to certain audiophile vendors, that's what technics and sweetwater says so take it up with them. I'm sure you can convince technics that they're wrong about technics products and you're right good luck LOL.
@@4vinylsound To each his own i guess. I've been collecting records since the early 90s and have seen hundreds of 1200s kicked around and sold used where i live, I'm telling you regardless of what you can buy at guitar center or sweetwater or whatever, the silver 1200 is what we always saw in the clubs, and probably more than 80% of them that are still around are beat to hell. So personally, I associate the silver 1200 as something that looks unremarkable and utilitarian because of it. No audiophiles in the 70s and 80s were rumning 1200s, they just weren't considered an audiophile table back then, maybe the sp-10, but not the 1200. There's a reason that whenever they release special editions like the 50th or the 24k, that they are always black, because it looks classier, and more like a proper turntable, and not just a dj tool.
I use the Yaqin ms23b with a line magnetic LM210ia 300b SET amp . I didnt wanna pay over 1000 for the line magnetic LM-33 phono it is super nice yes but not worth 1000.00$++ dollars nice haha
I’ve loved Chicago ever since I first discovered them but their style has changed since long ago I still love them but maybe the love isn’t as strong as it once was
They were an awesome jazz rock band in the 60s n 70s then in the 80s they became a love song band due to band member dying then they changed direction unfortunately.
RIP Douglas Lloyd Ingle (born September 9, 1945 - May 24, 2024) was an American musician, best known as the founder and former organist, primary composer, and lead vocalist for the band Iron Butterfly. Ingle wrote the band's iconic song "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", which was first released in 1968. He was the last surviving member of the classic 1967-1969 lineup.
Almost every tone you tried through half way of your video sounded as good or better with the Behringer, and you haven't mentioned if you updated the 12AX7. Imagine a side by side with a humbucker next to the Tele single coil. I just got this Behringer and am noodling with tones through an old solid state Marshall practice amp for around the house. It definitely improves sound. It gets a bit "brittle" sounding pushed hard, using a Tele, Junior w/ P90, or Special w/humbuckers. Other pickups react differently, as expected. The actives in the Ovation Breadwinner are hot to begin with, and it takes some fiddling to get something I like much. It helps the Gretsch quite a bit. I'm going to get a better tube for it for further comparison. I dunno.... I got the Behringer because of the price point. I was shopping for their basic tube pedal I had years ago before running across this, which offered the EQ, gate, off/on switch, and bypass for what's still pretty much pocket change. At a hundred bucks new ($55 used for mine) vs the 300 for the Tube Driver, I'm happy with the VT999. Just saying.
On the vt99 I'm using now either eh or tungsol 12ax7's not sure though but yes did upgrade them. I use mostly the strat, love the single coils. Lots of dynamics. The lp with humbucks very dark and dirty. If I had p90s I'd play through them a lot.
