great old film, but could use a bit of modern restoration for colour and contrast. You broke your own "do not copy" rule by using two copyrighted music tracks.
No rules broken..........When you post content on RU-vid, if it will be accepted it states "Copyright-protected content found. The owner allows the content to be used on RU-vid." In that case the recording artist doesn't require payment, having realized the song will get more exposure and hence potential revenue.
@@SteelCity-jo5uz thanks very much for replying I didn't mean to be critical I was just curious as to how that got through RU-vid's copyright filters. Now I understand thank you. Interesting footage that you have can I ask where you got it from. I do a series of videos on Burlington history for the local cable company and on RU-vid. Just look up Burlington history minutes. If you wish to delete my comments I understand. Thanks again, David
@@burlingtonhistoryminutes1330 Hey, no problem. I did post some videos with songs that were denied for copyright infringement. It all depends on the artist, and some artists don't want their material used eg. political reasons etc.
You are corrected........When you post content on RU-vid, if it will be accepted it states "Copyright-protected content found. The owner allows the content to be used on RU-vid." In that case the recording artist doesn't require payment, having realized the song will get more exposure and hence potential revenue. Obviously you would know this with all the content you have contributed.
I remember when Mike Harris suggested to Toronto the savings in welfare by giving them bus tickets to Hamilton as it costs less to live there. Now that Toronto money has arrived lotta new buildings people getting shoved out.
Lived in Hamilton since i was born . Live on the Mountain . Only go downtown when necessary. Its okay living here . Do what i have to to survive here. It's not that bad or worse than any urban areas in other cities . It's home to me . Steel City reppin ' .
The only thing I know for certain about Hamilton is that they kept sending Sheila Copps to Ottawa. Not sure if that is just because they were trying to get rid of her, but she became an embarrassment to the entire country.

Lived in Hamilton for over 20 years and live in Toronto now. Met some good people in the Hammer who were gooe friends and we always helped each other when we could. I go back quite a bit to visit.
The mental illness patient has made it to Hamilton for treatment going back a long time Ontario Hospital. They would house them there on West 5th… Not anymore, they are put in half way houses all over the city. And now with the Turd 💩 deau dope smoking shit show they are in tents. No will to work and blend in with society because the government takes care of the program.
Hamilton is all burned out, you got to move to Toronto. We have 10 times the population and 10 times the shootings and stabbings. If you can afford to live here you can afford to live anywhere. Isn't Canada grand!
There is nothing wrong with Hamilton...the money men have used it up and moved on that's all. Posted by a Haligonian.... We have seen this first...when money goes west it never comes back.
I lived there back in the 80's There are so many Old World buildings there, all the red brick. I wish I knew back then what I know now. Appreciate your videos, I can watch from the West Coast and remember the Good Old Days. Many Thanx from BC
Glad you like them. If I knew back then half of downtown Hamilton was gonna be demolished, I would've bought a decent camera way back. Even today the demolition continues. Sad.
I moved three years ago, and it's the best thing I did. It's starting to become another Toronto. Now I live in a small town about an hour away. Hope it's far enough over time that I don't have to move again
OK. You get it. Jackson Square was simply the greatest failure of urban design in Canadian history. Having been in every city of over 100k, I can assure you that every single one of them, with the exclusion of Hamilton, has an appealing inner-city core. Jackson Square is a testament to Soviet Brutalist architecture. I simply referred to it as The Bunker. It is not only soulless, it actually sucks the living souls of those who have to work and shop there. I know it too well.... In-person and from personal accounts of the graft and sleaze behind the project. When I think of what might have been, I am saddened.
If you head 30 minutes west into Brantford's downtown, you'll find the remains of its Eaton center. It is basically a red brick cube with barely any windows. I had a summer job helping to construct it and at the time thought it was ugly and looked more like a prison than a downtown feature.
