Basically, loading the car more than max capacity is not allowed. The max payload of this car is 340 kg, including a total of not more than 30 kg on the roof, along with the weight of the carrier itself. Usually, the official roof carrier from the company is a safe bet since it will be within guidelines. I am not sure how it works for non official roof carriers that are lesser than 30 kg.

She was 3.5 at that time and enjoyed the journey. The only thing you need to take care of the motion sickness part. Sometimes kids do get sick due to continuous turns in hilly areas.
