I’ve never seen a housesitting demo/video before! I’ve never used it since I can’t get my 7 to connect to my wifi. The countdown and following dialogue telling you to leave is vaguely threatening??? Lol.
It’s so funny seeing three run it at once! Some of the only things I liked about Recognition was the Skaters’ Waltz dance (one of my favorite songs, I love classical) and the voice which I think is cute, except when it’s constantly repeating something. Mind 3 did it way better with the voice and being fully autonomous, if Recognition was like Mind 3 it might’ve been my main 210 software!
I feel like i should add: On the back legs, the back part of the lower shells won't come off as easily (there's two very annoying clips on each side that you gotta VERY CAREFULLY pry and remove)
Would you happen to know if the 110 can self-right? My 210 can, my 7 can, but my 110 just won’t. She’ll keep trying to walk or turn her head and then there’s a horrible whirring from the resistance from the floor. Did they just start implementing this with the 111, or is my 110 just silly…?
@@andusensei Ah, okay! She doesn’t go into pick up mode either, and I bet that’s why. I’m gonna assume it’s a proprietary part and not able to be replaced unless you have a donor Aibo? I got my 110 from Yahoo Auctions and both her batteries are good and I got to keep both (Zenmarket didn’t throw either away), but I assumed I couldn’t be lucky with everything lol. Thanks a bunch!
@@Aibo7M1 No pickup as well is definitely a sign that it's gone bad. :( It is proprietary as far as I know, so yeah a donor would be needed. I may have an extra laying around, I'll have to check it if you're interested!
Still want to see if cameras on these babies can be upgraded. I’ll have to see when I try and recreate boards to replace faulty boards for future needs
I had a thought. Given how the head shells split perfectly down the middle of the face, in theory it would be possible to make a half and half 111. Black on one side, silver on the other.
It's astounding how much advanced engineering went into this 'still popular' 90's child's toy, they sold around 65 thousand of the ERS 110 & ERS 111 units, many are still floating around. They had a manufacturing quality that was reflected in the $2,500 price tag, a quality one rarely sees nowadays. I've always wondered how they packed so much into such a small package. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity and for saving me from the stress of finding out for myself, I've resisted the urge to pull one apart for decades. 👍 They certainly don't make kids toys like they used to. The kind that keeps adults amused and entertained as well. 😉
I was away over the Easter weekend and only came back on April 2nd. At least I could get my Muffit to do that twice. That idea Sony put out there was absilutely hilarious. Loved it!
The one on the left is am ERS-210, modeled loosely after a lion cub or a kind of terrier. The one on the right is an ERS-220. It was designed specifically to have a sleek, scifi, space explorer kind of appearance. There is actually a small blue light on the other side of her face which lights up when she makes noises, almost like a digital jaw. :)
I lost it when the white 7 just started looking around while standing in 1 spot and then only slightly adjusting themself LIKE DUDE 😭😭 little bro lost his way 😢💖
