Thank you for providing an excellent case study for future generations of what destroyed democracy in america. You and your enablers hold a special place in history now jeff.....
I vote more pizza places and liquor stores!! Nothing worse having to travel more than 2 blocks to find one. To bad Batavia missed out on the dispensaries 30 millions dollars in legal sales in the first month could have paid for that new swimming pool I'm sure soooo many of us will take advantage of.... I watched this whole thing and I want my 6 hours back... Shouldn't have taken that long but it was hard to stay awake zzzzz
As a driver of small and large vehicles, and a rider of bikes, I would like tighter enforcement of the stop laws for all road users. I'd also like the see widespread adoption of the Idaho Stop Law.

How bout jazz hip hop 3, They brought it! Beat it was cute!Kids of the future was adorbs as well as Lets get loud !
If you want to be transparent, please give more details concerning what is being approved. Reading a number and dollar value is cryptic and has no value. As much as I like hearing paper rustle and see your beautiful faces this doesn't provide value.
Wow, is this board elected? There needs to be more accountability. The demeanor is unprofessional and unconcerned. We all need to be more proactive and hold these people accountable. Quite frankly we need to understand what tax dollars they have responsibility for or any other decisions. We need to take control of our "rulers".
Currently, all children entering the school district are receiving less value than the children from 2001-2010 that had full day kindergarten without representation on the board. Vote out all members that vote against full day as their interest has passed. We need to look at the future of our children and not the current needs only. If changes are not made the city property values will go into a death spiral. This means that the main leverage of property values in Batavia is the perception of the future education system. If people perceive the education level will not be maintained at current levels the city will suffer in property values. Demand for housing will decrease and current owners will lose market value for their current houses. Therefore the tax burden will increase as time goes on with the trend. At current levels of housing, most of the housing is dilapidated in the center of the city. The property tax basis is at jeopardy without maintaining revenue of the newer neighborhoods. If the older houses are not torn down with rebuilds and the newer house residents leave you have your perfect storm. People that move to the newer and more expensive houses also have greater mobility. The ultra rich will pay their property taxes and send their kids to private schools, but this is not a successful mo for a middle class community. I moved to our dream home to come to Batavia, but now I have to consider moving as I don't believe the system is looking at the future needs of my children for paying over 12k a year not including fees. Don't let Batavia turn into Aurora or West Chicago or Rockford or the big example Chicago.
Nice job BATV ... great sound and camera work ... excellent performance by Chris Walke, Noah Gabriel, Scott Stevenson, Dave Ramont and the Aurora Rhythm Section of Chad Watson and Justin O'Connell ... and thanx to Joe Henry for the mighty fine songs.
This was billed as an in-depth discussion, however it is stacked with school district employees and a former school board member. A true in-depth discussion would have included a balanced discussion of the issue. This was just a sales pitch. Anyone who believes taxpayers are not going to be stuck with footing a significant portion of the cost is naive. If you are so sure this will be "volunteer funds," why not put it in writing?
Thanks for the response. That makes a lot more sense why the music was present. If the fan was constant it might have been able to be audio corrected - I have done that in the past. It was a good start and hopefully there will be a chance for people to suggest future topics. The Viewpoint logo is large relative to the BATV logo - which was somewhat redundant since most of the time there were multiple BATV cups in every frame. If I had a business I would pay big to have my cup logo advertising
