They caught a tough break on this album as their record company went out of business right after it was released so it basically got no promotion. Sad because it’s a great record with a lot of great songs.
Can't stand Justin Bieber but this is really crap song sucked they're walking on the sun album was the s*** loved it Shrek loved it but this song Garbage
Any version of this song goes great as a backdrop to snowy weather. Since my southwestern home is currently experiencing unseasonably chilly and wet weather, tonight I listen to all versions of this I can find to savor the moment of a Beautiful and quite rare desert snowstorm.
All around the world, statues crumble for me Who knows how long I've loved you Everywhere I go, people stop and they see Twenty-five years old, my mother, God rest her soul I just wanna fly Put your arms around me, baby Put your arms around me, baby I just wanna fly Put your arms around me, baby Put your arms around me, baby (yeah) Dance a little stranger, show me where you've been Love can make you hostage, wanna do it again There's no time to think 'bout the starting or the end We'll find out I'm told, my mother, she told me so I just wanna fly Put your arms around me, baby Put your arms around me, baby (yeah) I just wanna fly Put your arms around me, baby Put your arms around me, baby I just want to fly I just want to fly All around the world, statues crumble for me Who knows how long I've loved you Everyone I know has been so good to me Twenty-five years old, my mother, God rest her soul I just wanna fly Put your arms around me, baby Put your arms around me, baby I just wanna fly Put your arms around me, baby Put your arms around me, baby I just want to fly I just want to fly I just wanna fly I just wanna fly I just wanna fly
Every morning there's a halo hangin' from the corner Of my girlfriend's four-post bed I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it For the weekend or a one-night stand Couldn't understand How to work it out Once again as predicted, left my broken heart open And you ripped it out Something's got me reelin' Stopped me from believin' Turn me around again Said that we can do it You know I wanna do it again Oh (Every morning) oh (Every morning when I wake up) (Shut the door, baby, don't say a word) Oh (she always rights the wrong) Oh (she always rights, she always rights) (Shut the door, baby, shut the door, baby) Every morning there's a heartache hanging from the corner Of my girlfriend's four-post bed I know it's not mine and I know she thinks she loves me But I never can believe what she said Something so deceivin' When you stop believin' Turn me around again Said we couldn't do it You know I wanna do it again Oh (Every morning) oh (Every morning when I wake up) (Shut the door, baby, don't say a word) Oh (Every morning) oh (Every morning when I wake up) (Shut the door, baby, shut the door, baby) She always rights the wrong For me, baby She always rights the wrong For me Every morning there's a halo hangin' from the corner Of my girlfriend's four-post bed I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it For the weekend or a one-night stand (Shut the door, baby, don't say a word) Every morning Every morning when I wake up (Shut the door, baby, shut the door, baby) Every morning Every morning (turn me around again) (Shut the door, baby, don't say a word) Every morning (Do it again) Every morning when I wake up Every morning (Shut the door, baby, shut the door) Every morning when I wake up
Overview Lyrics Listen Main results Someday When my life has passed me by I lay around and wonder why You were always there for me One way In the eyes of a passerby I look around for another try And fade away Just close your eyes and I'll take you there This place is warm without a care We'll take a swim in the deep blue sea I go to leave and you reach for me Some say Better things will come our way No matter what they try to say You were always there for me Someway When the sun begins to shine I hear a song from another time And fade away And fade away Just close your eyes and I'll take you there This place is warm without a care We'll take a swim in the deep blue sea I go to leave and you reach for me Someone said you tried too long Someone said we got it all Someone said we tried too long Is there a place where I belong? So far and so long So far away So far and so wrong So far away, away, away Some day When my life has passed me by I lay around and wonder why You were always there for me One way In the eyes of a passerby I look around for another try And fade away And fade away And fade away And fade away
This song is very iconic. Billy Idol supposed to sing this song for the movie Breakfast Club and then Roxy Music was asked to do the same but rejected for the 2nd time until Simple Minds did it in the 80s. This song is the soundtrack in the movie The Breakfast Club.
He's clearly projecting his insecurities with fading fame onto young Bieber here. Perhaps he too felt like he was once the bell of the ball, and lived vicariously through Shrek, who was beloved all over the world. Perhaps he's afraid of how much Shrek he sees in Bieber. We may never know. What I do know, is this song sucks.
Fantastic rocker !!! Ted Nugent still rules !!! Also , check out ," Doesn't Matter Where Or When ," an original rocking song and video on my site . Adam Holtz
