This would be the last week I’ve actually been away, this week I was lucky enough to get rain, but my grass is slowing down growth and when it stops, I’ll stops growing Ill stop using the treatment. This is a treatment that is done with watering and a normal watering schedule 1 inch a week.
Its Recommended not to use a hose sprayer if you use it at a slow application setting and make sure you get an even coverage. It seemed to have worked. It was a good test. Leave comments below on how you feel about hose and spray is and why you think they work or do not work for this application.
What kind of temperatures are you having there? I'm still in the mid 80's here in So Cal is that too hot? I don't want to burn my 4 week old overseed lawn but I do want to push growth.
Excellent video. Watching this saved me all sorts of aggravation know about the security torx fasteners. I used my Dremel with a metal cutting wheel to remove the collar from the old hose and it worked perfectly. This entire project took me about 20 minutes by know exactly what to do ahead of time. Is there anything special about the tear free soap? I usually have the dr. bronners in the house that is the baby formula. Do you think that would work the same? I wonder how much it would need diluted?
Its urea and water. Urea is a fast release nitrogen. Ive been putting it on heavy to get alot of nitrogen on my yard. I put 20 ounces per gallon of water. On monday i tried 64 ounces in my 2.6 gallon sprayer it did fine. Just trying to push new seed and get it growing before frost and snow hits. I might try the hose end sprayer see how that does.
Its makes it easier , if you noticed I put down 10 oz per 1000 that makes the amount I put down .4 a month if I lay it down once a week. I know it's under a bit but thats my safe zone. Thanks for taking your time !!
@yarek9370 yes your correct thank you ! Diesel Exhaust Fluid DEF is stored in a dedicated tank in diesel-powered vehicles. It is injected into the exhaust stream of diesel engines

Well this is embarrassing, I had the same break at the same place. I didn't know there was a fitting under there, the thread is BSP (British standard pipe) and I couldn't find a replacement so I replaced the whole pump with one that has barbed ends. I guess I should have tried cutting the hose apart 🤣 On the up side, the new pump is way more powerful and shoots farther.
Purchased an HRN216 this past Spring...selling a 3yo Ego that I thought was not giving the best cuts. Neighbor suggested Honda's that were available at HD. Now after 5 months of trying everything I can think of...I can say this mower sucks. I get uneven cuts; one side cuts lower than the other enough to notice the difference in the grass; cutting one path then come back on the next row - the heights of the cuts are different; and the wheel ruts it leaves are very noticeable - even with cutting in a different pattern each mow. I've invested a lot of money, time, and effort into trying to get this mower right - but nothing works. I will finish this season with it but it will be for sale next spring and I will replace it even if I have to go back to an Ego.
Sorry to hear that I’ve had very good luck with mine. Maybe you got a bad one can you bring it back possibly they will repair it or give you a new one.
@@TheLawnMechanic Thanks for the reply...but, I'm past the return window. I've considered taking it to a mower repair shop, but not sure I want to invest another $100 or more into it. Another neighbor bought a similar Honda and returned theirs for like issues, got a Toro that was just as bad, and now have a third mower so far this year. Perhaps the manufactures just don't care what they put out - presuming folks will not notice as long as it cuts?

I think you're right, I also wonder if just spraying it lightly on and leaving it works better I did my walkway that way but I did not want to show the wrong way from the instructions. But it did a really good Job. If you want to test it may give you way better results. I also seen they say you can dilute it 50 50 with water. I would try that first. Thanks for posting.
I had a delay on my project, and soaked the seeds for 13 days. KBG seed, am worried about seed rot, so I had the seed in the bucket not submerged with water but did 12 hours on and 12 hours off. Anybody soak for this long before?
Did you get good results with that seed brand, I’m thinking of giving them a shot now. The fireball seeds I see on their site are coated, have you ever used that brand and coated?
@@CRV1958 the jury is still out on the fireball I had so much fungus this year. I’m not sure if it’s because I planted in the spring or because of the seed . this fall I’m planting it again on the front lawn for wintergreen up and I’ll have to see if I have the same issues next summer. I don’t think my seed from Twin City was coated.
When using that dethatcher, start closest to the house and work your way out towards the back. Doing it that way, you will never have to fight the cord on each pass.
@@TheLawnMechanic Don't waste your time.... Most reviews say it's less powerful than the corded electric and the amount of times you use this machine, prob not worth the extra money.

Not sure what your getting at but thanks for the comment . The rake helps spread out a large or small amount into uneven spots , it kind of changes for your needs
I recently got a HRN 216 ginen to me with no rear tires and had been sitting outside for 2 years. I gave it 4 new wheels, drive belt, plug ,air filter, oil change, sharpened the blade and a good power wash and runs fantastic. Starts with a slow half a pull just like your new one. $500 mower for $80 in parts and about an hour of work. Great machines. Briggs and MTD can suck it 😅
I have the grandpa weed puller and I really like it. I have quite a bit of crabgrass this year and it works great for that. I wear gloves when using it and I usually shake the dirt off the roots back into the hole where the weed was. 🤠👍
