Are you coming to DC and want to collaborate on a video? Send me an email as far in advance as you can. I can't make any promises, especially during busy tour season, but I like to collaborate with other travel creators.
I lived in old town 25 years ago. Miss it still . I’m British . I Went home . It’s so nice to see it’s not changed that much and you’ve helped me recognise what to do when I come back next year. I’ve seen 30 states and old town is my favourite place in the USA. Hoping to retire here one day . Here’s hoping . Enjoy it everyone it’s lovely . ❤
Rob, great and informative video. We lived in DC and Northern Virginia for 36 years before we moved to Lynchburg, VA, 22 years ago. Loved riding the then available trails but am now extremely jealous of you all for all the new trails and bike lanes you have. I agree with many of the suggestions for other videos for you to make and have a few others: I’m reading about somewhat new bike lanes on Wilson Bridge; new or extended trails in SE and Anacostia; protected bike lane down Pennsylvania Avenue; and a ride from Georgetown out C&O Canal to Capital Crescent Trail (or, perhaps, the CCT begins in G-Town?). May be beyond your area of interest, but I understand that the Custis Trail along Route 66 has been expanded to Centreville, VA. Rob, what distinguishes your “ride along” trail rides from others is your great and informative narration. Thank you!
I live near Potomac Yards National Landing Crystal City and I think it's quieter here than in the Navy Yard. Even with metro, and commercial train, and DCA noise. Maybe because of the green space and the river soak up the noise.
This was a lovely ride- the MVT is a great trail for those interested in history and Alexandria on a visit. I have a couple suggestions for further ride videos. A ride showing off the Metropolitan Branch Trail (perhaps starting at the Mall) and going to some of the breweries, restaurants, and parks that tourists interested in more local spots. A ride along Rock Creek from Georgetown to the Zoo, or further north. Or a historical ride from Bethesda to Georgetown along the CCT, showing off the rail tunnels and Fletcher's Cove.
Great video! I love all your content! You're so good at presenting information! A ride through some of the neighborhoods would be cool. Not sure if that's possible though.
Nice video Rob! Definitely a fan of the virtual bike rides. I know it can be tough to get engaging content from a lot of bikeways, but I would like to see future rides on Capital Crescent Trail into Georgetown, some of the Metropolitan Branch Trail and surrounding area, and maybe a ride from the Wharf to Navy Yard.
20 + - years ago went to a place behind Capitol where I had the best gyro ever. When I got one to go the last day they sent me downstairs where meat was on a basting spit they shaved off pieces. Will be in DC in about 10 days & hopeI can find the place which had seating inside & outside front. Anyone know if still there & name of place?
Thanks for the video! We appreciate the tips. We were looking for Tips for cheap eats around the National Mall video. We are going at the end of October 2024. Thanks for your help.
I highly recommend watching Congress in session. I went to DC a few weeks back and picked up a House and Senate pass at my Senators office and it was great. I really enjoyed it.
Dear Humans, the best gift you can give to your future generation is Peace, Love and Kindness, because our struggles as humans make us forget that we are the World. Thanks brother MLK.
I wouldn't have been able to get around the DC mall without the circulator bus. It's very sad to hear that it's going away. I have visited DC three times and have enjoyed it immensely. Bikes and scooters would be the next best option unless the weather is bad.
