Is this Diamond head unit basically a Soundstream? I didnt know there were others like it...... I assume its just rebranded with small changes like logo and UI etc?

Hello, Can you please share the guide to find the BIN EQ file number for GT radio again. The steps mentioned in your description doesn’t seem to work. I have a 2017 Ultra Limited. I cant find the BIN EQ file number using the steps you have mentioned. There is no service menu that gets displayed in the 2017 GT radio like the way it does in GTS radios. Thanks
Thanks for the video! How do the hand controls on the bike work with this radio? I've heard the hand controls are a bit glitchy and you end up using the touch screen more than you would like. Asking because I didn't see you use the hand controls to see how they work.
Just ordered the m55 Sony, I am installing lid speakers on my 07 electraglide and to me it made more sense to get a new deck rather than have the original stereo flashed for rear controls. Can’t wait to hear the improvement😎
Why do they claim the gauges are completely customizable, yet when you click on the center gauge in this video your only option is 0-60? It was super irritating on the SI model and it appears they didn't correct it on the V2? To be completely customizable, that is...
Are there any details available from Soundstream on the intercom function? Once you activate it, is music still available at the same time at a reduced level? Is there a VOX sensitivity setting? If it's push-to-talk only by the driver, how does the passenger initiate an intercom? Thank you so much!
My wife and I are very used to using our 2021 Harley GTS radio intercom feature while listening to music. Is that function available in the Soundstream V2?
Can you use your headset to request music or directions? Example: can you say "play Metallica on Spotify" and have it work? Or "Navigate to the nearest gas station"? Also can the gauges be configured in any way? I would like the center gauge to be MPH. It looked liked the gauge information may have been delayed in you video.
Yep, you can make voice commands while riding via a headset. You can move the gauges wherever you'd like. The gauges respond super fast - just as fast as the regular gauge speedo does.
Great video. I currently have the MSHD14 head unit with RF 75W 4 ohm speakers. Sounds pretty good parked & at low speeds but not good at highway riding. Seriously considering adding this DA kit. Question: Won't the speaker crossovers bounce around in the speaker pods? Should they be secured somehow? Thanks!
Thanks for watching and for your comment! We ran the crossovers secured and not secured and they both didn’t rattle around - but if you’re concerned you can use some strong double sided tape and secure them to the side of the speaker pod!
@@notecycles I am ready to order but don't see the option or price for the two channel amp. Wouldn't the two channel amp be better for a fairing only system? 150w / channel vs 80w.
Hey guys, question! I have this amp and just installed a soundstream reserve HDHU.14+ and everything works as it should, except when I turn it off, then I hear a loud crackle from the amplifier (unplugged amp and it stopped crackling) any input?
Are you allowed to say yhe reason yhey delayed it twice already? I pre-ordered from another place but got refunded when I had to pay full price for a unit I fo not have when I was told 1st week of April. Now it was maybe end of April to mid-June. I just want honesty before i order. Thank you.
The reason for the delay is definitely not a secret - Soundstream was very open about the fact that it was delayed because of some software tweaks/improvements they needed to make before final production. They’re going into production very soon (most likely May 9th) and they are aiming for a June release!
@@JS-ux2yn I don’t think that’s a lie - I think the bad rca was related to the software improvements and updates they needed to make. The guys at Volunteer are stand-up people!
Great video and probably the best out there on explaining this radios functions. I've had the 14si in my '20flhtp for 14 months and still learning all it's stuff . I'll be watching this a few times.
I am really excited about this I had the V1 in literally the same bike 2017 SGS.. I wish you would show the guages working with the bike running and their refresh/response.... I want to make sure I get what I expect if I buy one and know exactly what does or doesnt work on the 2017 model. I know I dont have TPMS so I get that I was wondering if they offer TPMS sensor or caps to allow that to work on non TPMS bikes. But mostly I want to see how well the guages work and if the shift indicator is accurate and responsive, turn signals etc... You kind of brushed through that however you did include the install and overview all within 45 min pretty good

The remote wire is the blue wire in our harness. It has a connector on it to fit the Precision Power amp but the connector can be removed / cut off and you can connect the bare wire to any remote on port on an amp.

Are you still running factory speakers or have you added improved aftermarket speakers? If you still have factory speakers, the DSXM80 will undoubtedly make the sound better, but they’re pretty old at this point and should be replaced. I wish you would’ve showed the start up on the radio. I’d like to see how long connection time is to car play. I have the original sound-stream radio and it’s very slow one of the reasons for looking at this unit. But great video!!!
