@ArthurRambo-mt5nv right on , i remember . Yeah if you wanna jump on another trip with me , I have the Grande booked for Monday September 2nd Labor day. Spots are still available. 🎣🐟🤘😎
@BruceTamp not a problem at all , life is better when people are happy , catching fish makes people happy 😊. Hope to fish with you again sometime . 😎🤙🎣🐟
@MrMikeIffy thank you , yes stoked we made it out period 🙌. If your talking about the American flag rod , it's Varmac Custom Wraped by Squidco. Hope to see you out there sometime.
@buthole123100 ,next time you gotta go. The rod Is a custom wrapped varmac Graph-x by Bruce Mathis , has the Artina name on it. We had a slow start and between the 3 of us only caught 4 fish . Once we found a good spot the bass were going off.😬🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟.
It’s so funny, I’ve been away from charters for 4-5 years… Fish on was the normal term and now everyone screams biter. Never heard that until I started going out again this year. So funny how the community changes unanimously.
@mrmidnight32 Fresh One!!!! Is another one also.. I used to be a Fish on guy , but now it's biter or Fresh one 😅. Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there sometime
@simonfortune7279 🤣🤘 , something I've learned from work , always blame everyone else. I knew where I should have been , just alot of people nit following there lines . Hate to say it , but I've been bit on all sides . Thank you for watching 😎🤘🎣🐟
@austin58652 I have a super busy month of July . I'll be back on a boat sometime in August. I should have at least 4 more trips out this year. Thank you for watching and I hope to see you out there sometime 🎣 🐟 😎🤘
@jonathank5388 Ive seen good pre-gaming before , But yes you are correct , plenty of fish in the bay to slay right now . Recently fished the shore line on shleter island and slayed quite a few Spotty's , Sand Bass , and Some other bottom critters . Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there sometime . 😎🤙
@socalfishincrew5410 actually my PB on this 60 is only a 20lb yellowfin. My Pb Bluefin 60lb+ is on a Fathom 30 with 50lb braid and 40lb floro leader on a daytime bite with flyline sardine. Check out the video . A forty could handle the fish of size to 200lbs , only issue would be line capacity , maybe 80lb braid to fit as much as possible on the reel. Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there.
True, That is a bare minimum for night tuna at 200lbs in my opinion, after catching a 150lbs tuna. Spend the extra $200 and get a bigger gear reel like an avet, with a bigger handle. 500 yards 100 lb braid,,,,100 yard 100lbs top shot,,,,,4 foot 80 lbs leader. 50 lbs of drag reel set to a max of 27lbs ,,,,XXL rod. I used my gen1 40 fathom for daytime fly lining 20-50 lbs leader,,,,,50 top shot and 65 braid ,,,,,XL rod. The lower the lbs on the leader the longer it is so the smaller bait can swim further/deeper from the boat. Two rigs to cover 90% tuna conditions. Cost? ~2k fully rigged. Go for lifetime warranty rods. I went with Phenix. The new 40 fathoms do have the bigger handle…but I’ll stop there. Tight lines! . . . Then get a 40-80 lbs jig stick….move on to cover other classes. 20, 30, 40, 60, 100 lbs rigs for convenience at a heavy cost (the cost of a multi day trip, each). Something to consider. Bare minimum increases time to catch the fish, burns the flesh and increases the risk of tangle or breakage, retying decreases wet line time. Annoys your fellow anglers. Just a humble fisherman’s opinion. All the best.
@petera1117 that's alot of useful info . 2 rods can handle 90%+ of the tuna we see. But not every Angler has the money to buy expensive gear. I believe in fishing what you brought and make it happen . My Nephew just bought me an old Daiwa Sealine reel , I completely refurbished it and can't wait to slay a fish on it. Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there sometime .
Totally feel you @Ralphguiterrez-qv6zo , but the reality of fishing is sometimes you get skunked. Please watch my other videos , this is my 1st skunked video. Thank you for watching . Hope to see you out there sometime. 🎣🐟
I am going to look at a T21 and T18 soon and I wanted to know how the boat has treated you for 2 years. I hear a lot of mixed reviews about it but I don’t have 100k to spend like the people posting bad reviews 😂. Was it worth it for the money? I am fishing around the SF Bay Area and inshore rock fishing. Also wouldn’t mind if the T21 is Bluefin approved 🔥
I don't understand the landings pushing the all-day tuna trips. The day time bluefin bite sucks. Maybe stop for rock cod for a hour to fill some sacks.
@tommytar123 the Boat Captains call the shots on what they fish for. The cool thing is that a 1 day boat can actually slay bluefin and yellowfin Tuna. Someone wanting to squeeze a trip in while on vacation and still have a shot at once in a lifetime catches is pretty sweet. Also check out my previous video were my 1.5 day trip , stopped mid day to load up on bottom critters before chasing tuna the rest of the day. 🎣🐟💯 Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there sometime 🎣 🐟 😎
Grande and San Diego have been picking away at Day time Tunas , check out my previous video with the 220lb bluefin . Thank you for watching , hope to see you out there. 🎣🐟
Beats working all day, every day! Tough trips such as this are great reminders to really appreciate the days when their chewing the paint off the bottom of the boat. I commend the guy who produced this video for keeping a positive attitude and trying to keep the rest of the guys motivated. Im sure the crew appreciated your efforts. Next trip will be that much better
Absolutely correct , worst day fishing is better then a best day at work. Not to mention the National Geographic moments , like whales , Dolphins , sun fish and More. Thank you for the Kudos and hope to see you out there sometime . 🎣🐟😎🤙
@ahmadghanem2414 , fir me the season has been tough for sure, I've had 2 trips cancel because of weather , and my batting average per trip is a little low. Hoping the water warms up soon and the migration of other species and bite improves . Thank you for watching , much appreciated . Hope to see you out there sometime.
@gs6095 , stoked for you guys , I heard you guys got bit , so I jumped on last 2nd . Amazing day on the water without fish. Like you said , we'll gettum next time . Hope to see you out there . 🎣🐟
Fished the pens 6 days ago on a Legend 2.5 day! Total chaos!!! Glad we only stayed a few hours. Guy got a 70/80 lb. I went 5-6 with one sawed off! 3x50lb 1x75 and 1x170. Saw a lot of small set ups in your video. Gonna get hammered if you hook up! Great video on that cow!
Thank you , Yeah , I wasnt prepared for the fish we ran into . IO only brought one setup for 100lb . Thank you for watching . hope to see you out there sometime .
@donaldstephensen8654 Thank you , I try to catch enough of each trip to give the viewer the full experience. Thank you for watching . Hope to see you out there sometime 🎣
Lol, that's me on the back of the Donzi at 1:25. We were fishing the Marlin Club Halibut tournament that day. Got a nice 23.2# Halibut to get 2nd place that day. Awesome to see your boat got a toad.
Thank you @fishybiz , Definnitely amazing . Ive only seen triple digit fish come over the rail 3 times , Twice on Grande and once on the Legend . Hope to see you out there some time
My leader length was approx length of the rods , Line weight 30lbs , and on the big knife jig 80lbs . Jigs all sizes . This stop the fish ate anythign you sent down . Pretty awesome rock fishing , the best ive ever done . Hope to see you out there sometime
@ahmadghanem2414 Absolutley . Otherwise all anglers besides my Nephew could have been empty handed. Thank you for watching . Hope to see you out there some time . 🎣🐟
All Anglers have their own style of fishing , Ive been told many of times i fish my rods or gear the wrong way . Bouncing Jigs off the Ocean floor is needed to get the reaction bite . Thank you for your support and hope to see you out there sometime 🎣
@@ArthurPereira1974 what happens is when you stop pumping the fish keeps on floating up and the hook backs out sometimes . Better to have a constant retrieve and let the rod stay bent all the time
@jonathanheyes4168 Thank you for watching . Glad we had such a good rock fish load even though we were hoping for Bluefin . Hope to see you out there again sometime . 🎣🐟
