Second best Compressor to BBE's early - ORANGE SQUASH pedal. Why do you guys always misreprent and cheese up the stigma of Compression w/ Funk and Jazz-fusion? I play just about anythoing, but. Still, if I had to choose only a few pedals for a gig. Say, five. Say 2! The Xotic Sp would be added w/out thought.. Compression pedals should be FELT, not HEARD. Totally transparent w/ more response and sustain. The way you guys Demo it, you might as well buy a BOSS compressor w/ it's Toggle switch of Compression tones, that completely change your guitar Tone right out oof the gate! It's Demo's like this that put even, me off Compression. How'd I get into Compression? I couldn't find a Clean Boost in my town. After being recommended a Comp, The Clean Boost become completely irrelevant, when it once was a priority. Don't let these Demo's push you away from Compression. The Xotic SP is a treasure. Try one yourself on LO, w/ the VOLUME Boosted past NOON and rollback the BLEND to around the graphic of the graphic of the Power Supply. Hear that? No? Well, play something...FEEL that? YEAH! Best part is taking it home. Plug it in to your Front End and hear EVERY pedal on your board improve w/out altering the colour and tone. Just more presence, clarity, and just enough added sustain improve, your technique and playstyle. The Xotic SP is pure magic. You just gotta find it, and b/w two knobs it's not a headache to dial in.
hehehe, yeah, I have been listening to mike at prymaxe demoing all sorts but realised that its just the great playing that makes everything sound freaking awesome...
I have one of those CC Hybrid fuzzes. Haven’t messed with it for a while…doing some pedal board rewiring. I do have it paired with a Foxrox Octron. Should be a blast when I’m done putting the board all back together.
I use this in my cover band tons. I don't play it like this though. This video is still in 'guitar' mode. If I need this with a guitar sound, which I do lots, I play my amp with the synth9 on a separate full range speaker.
Watched the video. I thought the pedal was faulty. I was very surprised by the positive reviews, maybe I don't understand something. I know one thing - I won't buy such a pedal.
Would love to hear what the pedal is known for: Clear and articulate chord voicingss where each note is articulated and heard. Instead you just played single note solos most of the time.
My first dirtbox when i started playing back in '78.been using the nux plexi crunch since it came out.bedt distortion pedal for everything from blues to metal, plus under $50
I am an admitted flange-aholic and I use chorus or flange on most everything I play. This demo is 10 years old and I cannot believe I’m only now discovering it. I hope it is not too late for me to say thank you to the chap who played/demoed the pedal. Godspeed.🎸👨🏼⚕️. 🫶✌️♾️ Great sounding pedal and I look forward to adding this to my pedal collection. Cheers / Slainte.
Funny thing, after hearing all of these, for single notes , riffs, shredding - ts9 is the worse. Sounds good strumming if you dont have it going into a high gain amp. Yet so many metalheads got a ts9. Im glad the behringer clones a 808.. its better. Not sure what the MSL is. I might have a clone of it. If this pedal goes under $200 ill grab it.
Whilst watching this video late at night I saw strange lights coming through my window and was visited by an extra terrestrial being who said to me telepathically that the sounds of this device was in it's language and that in fact the sounds produced actually said that "it's mother was sooo fat that you could roll over five times as still be on top of her big ass" so I explained to the alien being that it wasn't me who was making those sounds that insulted it's mother but that it was the person in the video that did it the extra terrestrial entity informed me telepathically that it vowed to find the prymaxe employee in this video and zap them to dust with a ray gun so whoever the person is in this video you have been warned
I know you get what you put into things. Got Ravish coming in the mail. Hope I get my 300 dollars worth. Normally I buy these cool effects pedals. Then they get pushed under the bed. And forgotten.
FF 2024 and this demo continues to be great and useful as I just purchased one of these cool pedals myself. Too bad its discontinued now, it is an amazing delay/echo. One of the few I can tolerate in fact. Nice!
Hello! Super amazing demo!! Can you let me know how does this compare with the Ibanez PH Mini? I am fascinated with the Mooer's toggle switch at the top, but Ibanez sound seems much deep and rich... please guide... Thanks!
After years of trying different verbs, I'm returning to this one. I love one type of reverb sound and I can gain total control over it with the toneprint software. Less is More....
How do I wire it properly? Manual says front input only, but I want to use it on the fx loop so I can use the Drive channel on the amp. Problem is it sounds too quiet and also is very noisy, hissy... Any advice?
With the blend and drive set real low, it makes a great tube-amp emulator with that slight crunch. Other than that, it becomes a you-can-only-use-this-for-rock-music pedal once you start turning dials. Man, I like the tube-crunch sound but it's not cheap for what it does.
Such a minefield looking for a used one these days as there are so many fakes out there. I just may have to break my used habit and buy a new one from a big dealer.
